7 piece sets... retarded. Way to dumb down the gearing
They're adding a 7th piece but not increasing the bonus requirements.
It sounds like this will make gearing easier for those sets, since you will have more options to choose from.

Belt slot would be a good candidate for many of the sets I think, I just hope it is not the bracer's slot for Marauders lol (though I don't think it'll be too bad, 50% resource discount with Cindercoat and Pride is tasty for fire even without reaper's wraps, but belt would probably be more ideal for resource management).

I managed to get the immunity to death relic for my templar, so I Unity'ed up both of us. Right now my gear is literally missing M6 gloves...

I find this season strange though. I was p300 in S1 and found no immunity from death relic (of any follower) or any Cameo's. In s2 I am not even p150 and I found 4 cameos and my first leg relic is immunity from death...

After playing DH though, I have to admit, I think I had been either playing Wizard the wrong way, or played the wrong classes entirely lol. Not used to things dropping dead so quickly, granted it is only T4 atm...

If they announced a Marauder amulet it would be the best piece of news I've read all RoS.
Will never happen, though.

Stupid Monks and their 4-piece SWK set with an amulet...

Would anyone be up for the boss kill conquests? I'm set up for both SC & HC, albeit probably a little more powerful on HC atm.

I would be, SC. I started achievement gathering in seasons a few days ago and tried it solo for the heck of it, only made it halfway before time ran out. Matheal, Diablo and Araenae (sp?) are the worst because their maps are so random/big/cluttered.

Found swapping the krelm belt for travel then back to witching hour for battle was the best mixture.

I was messing around on the PTR yesterday and today with my barb and tried out a pure ancients pet build. Someone from diablofans.com made a video about it. Because of the drop buff I geared up pretty quick (just couldnt find a good/ancient IK weapon) and it was pretty cool just standing around doing nothing in 35-40 GRs and letting my Ancients mop the floor doing 40-60 million crits. If you have a barb I'd def recommend trying this spec out.

Don't forget the never ending Wrath with that build too. I think I had a single Wrath cast in a T4 rift last nearly the entire time of the rift, (high monster density helped). And just as a side note, I love the drop rate on the PTR, for someone like me who never gets drops in regular, (I am cursed I know it), it is nice to see 50% of my inventory being orange/green for once.

Blizzard decided on pants as the 7th piece for IK which IMO is stupid as shit but it looks like they are going to change it from pants to bracers

Secondly, as many of you have noticed, some of these new set pieces compete with new items we added in 2.2.0. Items that have this conflict have been shifted around, including the Immortal King’s pants becoming bracers, the Zunimassa’s pants becoming a belt, and the Natalya’s moving from gloves to belt.

All I hope now is that they don't make Focus/Restraint useless thus keeping people bound to the same 3 rings for another year...at least for farming, not sure how good F&R are in GRs where Unity is almost a must for some classes

I really wish they would have done something with leap quake. I enjoy raekor's because it can be fun, but leap quake seems interesting as well.

The whole thing is a clusterfuck now.
It's gotten to the point where Blizzard is juggling set pieces around to make things work. It's just so stupid.

Reading that quote actually makes me laugh a little.

Well, to be honest, they are kind of giving the players what they wanted. These new items add a ton more build diversity and might make more than 1 or 2 builds viable for each class.

That makes me wonder, why does Wizard's Firebird have 7 pieces while all other class's L70 sets have only 6 pieces?

anything they can do to reduce the reliance on Sunwuko, Reakors, Firebirds, Marauders, and what ever the WD uses is a good thing.

But it always feels like they are doing the bare minimum and taking forever to do that bare minimum as well.

Need bit of help here:

Just got the gloves for my M6 (about f'ing time too), so I have basically completed the bare skeleton of my gear, and now probably will concentrate on upgrading gems and do bounties for better RoRG and Pride.

I plan to up Bane of the Trapped, Bane of the Powerful and probably Zei's. Should I consider any other gems like Toxins? I am using Cold CA at the moment, but I might use Fire multishot instead if I managed to get M6 helm.

You can't do this solo. You need to kill 18 bosses within 20 minutes. Remember, even if you one shot the bosses on T6, there's still time for the cut scenes that goes by (even auto skip wastes a few seconds). And that doesn't include time to actually get to the boss. How most people have been accomplishing this is having 2 pure dps and 2 pure runners. The runners go to separate bosses while the dps are killing the bosses. After they get the achievement, they swap roles and redo the conquest.

One runner takes the long bosses (Mal, Diablo, Araenae, Adria, etc.) while the other one goes for quick bosses (excluding Kulle). At the entrance, the runner at a boss fight will click to start the fight, the dps will accept, then the other runner will cancel, at which point, the dps will still start the fight, and the runner who started it will cancel it out. In the case of a tie for starting a new boss, the long boss person starts the battle.

A runner should be able to get to the skeleton king within 10-15 seconds from entering the dungeon. Boss battles, excluding Urzael & Diablo, need to be over within 10-15 seconds. (Those battles are useful for buying runners time for the medium length dungeons). A boss should be dead every 45 seconds to keep pace and add buffer room for mistakes. Some battles will just be over so quick that you'll be waiting on the runners. While a lot of people start on Zoltan Kulle, I might leave him for an emergency, as he's the quickest one to get too.

Do you get anything special for doing all that? I've never understood the passion people have for achievements for their own sake. Who cares? If there was an achievement that said, "Jerk off to the pain olympics" I'm pretty sure there would be dudes out there doing it getting excited they collected another achievement.

It's something to do in the game, so people will do them.

I achievement hunt when I need to take a break from T6 farming.

I'm just posting to say I'm getting back into Diablo 3 and I'm really enjoying the season game with some members of the [H] clan. If you don't already have me on your friends list or are looking to join the [H] clan or [H] community send me a message or friend request: Triden#1600.

This game is silly at times. You have an 80% chance for smart loot. And yet my best drops often come from that 20%.

I found 3 pieces of Zunamassa's while playing a barb. This pretty much forced me to use a witch doctor...which is pretty awesome by the way WitchDoctor. Then once I start playing the WitchDoctor I get 2 peices of Sunwukos and Phlanx ring for the Crusader.

Starmetal and Jeram are freaking awesome together.

Just got M6 helm last night (which completed my M6 entirely), so I decided for shits and giggles to switch to multishot/arsenal build instead, and I found it to my liking much better than my previous CA. Things also drop dead a lot faster (in T6 at least) for some reason,

And I found my f'ing 5th Cameo, though Cameos seems to get worse and worse the more you find lol.

That's because the statistics in this game are a fucking lie in order to artifically extend game time.
See also: Proc coefficients.

I agree with this statement 100% to an extend. Going from 24 to 25 seems to stray away from the proclaimed statistic. Typically I have a 60% chance and I have never gone from 23 to 25. Meaning if I'm at level 23 I'm going to have 2 failed every time at 60% forcing me to do at minimum 2 greater rifts.

I'd say the most accurate term to describe what people often call 'RNG' would be procedurally generated randomness. Which is to say it applies intelligence to its randomization and that intelligence is hidden in the code.

ive had the game installed since the initial preload before launch, but i think its time to go.

ill log on and do a rift or two, and then im so fucking bored i log back out. i just cant find any reason to play anymore.

So I was wondering what everyone's opinion is on this...
Here's a DH I'm gearing, http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/purebooyah-1946/hero/58550045

I was rerolling All Res on my chest and got 11% elite damage reduction, so I picked it and it dropped my toughness about 600k (in game 19.8m to 19.2m).

Average all res with it on my chest ranges from 1200-1300, drops to 1100-1200 with elite reduction. Armor is around 15000.

General consensus from Googling is 11% elite reduction is better than 100 all res. Is there something in-game toughness is calculating that I'm missing and AR is better than elite damage reduction or is it just being dumb?

Remember, most enemies are not elites, so you'll be weaker against them. Overall, you're in a weaker position than all res, but you're better off in the long run, because seriously, do skeletons really kill you?

I'd go with the elite damage reduction for sure as well. You're prolly not even getting hit by normal mobs most the time as a DH.

I finally found a semi decent weapon. I've been trying to find the perfect roll on a Sunwukos amulet so that I can start to reincorporate Blackthornes into the mix....but I'll be damned if I can find one. I still can't find a good ring for the life of me either.

Thanks guys, that's what I assumed but just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking something. Only white that could give me issues is something that charges from off screen but it doesn't happen often

Or Mallet Lords. Or those dudes from Act 1 that heave a sledge hammer looking thing up in the air then attack. But, again, you're probably not gonna be close to them.

He is hardcore. 11% elite reduction is the best thing you can have.

I would work towards this \/

Royal Ring
Ancient Reapers
Frostburn gloves

If you use frostburn you can't use pride's fall which is much better than the 15% cold and secondary. Using my DH on seasons, I can shoot 9-10 CA before running out of hatred compared to 5 without Pride's Fall.

Yeah, if it was softcore I'd do Sentry damage. I don't really try to compete on the GRift rankings so I don't really do extreme min/max'ing. I'm not going to be doing any grifts that absolutely must have 30% Sentry damage in order to finish them in time.

Yeah, going for Pride's Fall next. I've gotten 1 good pair of Frostburns ever so getting a good Pride's Fall is probably easier. It'd be awesome if they gave M6 a belt or amulet so I could use both...one can dream.

I find it funny how easy it is to gear a 2nd character in this game without even playing it. Took like 3000 blood shards using my monk to to gear this DH. Didn't even play the DH until I got M6.
