Water in PSU while not connected, still screwed?

So water was spilled into a standard computer PSU, right through the fan opening. It was just loose, so not in a pc or anything.

Any chance of it being okay if I let it try for ample time or am I screwed?

Put a fan to it, or leave it in the sun for a few hours, or both, and it should be fine. Electronics generally don't die from getting wet if they're not powered on.

A hair dryer might speed things up as well. I wouldn't worry about it too much, just make sure the water is dried up before plugging it in.

Might do well to open it up and blow it out with some compressed air.

Depends upon what type of water was used and whether or not the water left iron deposits on the PSU PCB.

I would disconnect it from everything but a fan or two and power it up outside the case for a multimeter test first. More out of paranoia than anything else, better to be safe than have to replace everything should it decide to get nasty.
