I have had a idea bouncing around for a while, well I am strange & can't let go of some ideas... Is there a place where you can give them the dimensions, the PSU size, drive bays & front IO you want, then they build it?

I don't think such a place exists, it would be too much hassle to figure out how combine what client wants with what makes sense and how to make it. Unless that's a standard case with customizable front, panles and drive mounts.

There are companies that do such a thing, but for just a single case, it would cost you tens of thousands of dollars. Not really worth it.

lol the cost came to about $1,400 according to that article, won't be cheap alright you could just built a brand new pc damn.

If you mean the Protocase designer software just give it a fake phone #, they don't do a phone verification to use the program or anything like that.

Cool, do you need to know any tech stuff or does the prog. make sure it has good air flow? Hmmm, that looks to complicated actually....

The standard ProtocaseDesigner template for rackmount enclosures makes a completely closed box... I wouldn't trust it to ensure good air flow ;)

It's not 100% custom but mountainmods lets you get pretty close with a lot of different configuration / panel / shape options.

They have a completely custom case option for $750+, depending on how much your design varies from their standard parts.

Their regular cases are great. I have an Ascension with a pedestal and I don't think I'll ever buy another case.

Seen lots of MM case builds over the years, but never anything SFF. Perhaps I'm stereotyping, but surely their experience is usually with customers who want a massive load of fans in a big box on wheels.

MM does have a SFF box. Their version of one anyway. Not as small as what other manufacturers make though. Depends on just how small you want. There are companies that modify and build a existing case for you. Say for instance you buy the SG05 and you buy it from them and they mod it to how you want. PerformancePC for example does that. The OP may want to look at that option to see if it works for him. Just a thought anyway

They actually have a couple metal/acrylic mATX and ITX cases. I'm sure they could make something custom in that size. Their Microcosm ITX case is tiny, though it does need an external PSU.
