What are you nerds playing this weekend?

:D I said that though because usually, the first thing I would do in a flight sim would see how well the crashes are simulated. Then I would do everything to not crash again. :)

Hi All

It's all good. For what it's worth I didn't crash. Just seeing how the Sabre performs in DCS as I hadn't flown one since Mig Alley the Rowan Flight Sim circa 1999

I remember Mig Alley! I never played it though, too involved with Red Baron 3D.

I'm still plugging through Metroid Prime. Very good game but you need a high tolerance for platforming and puzzle solving. Miss a jump and it's into the lava you go. Spend an hour rolling around the map looking for the rat hole exit to progress. Beat this boss that took me about 20 tries. The first ten to figure out what I had to do to beat him, and 10 more to actually execute it.

I've been messing around with Risen. It was part of the first Humble Bundle I ever bought. It's dated and a little clunky, but I actually kind of like it. The combat isn't super easy(or I just suck). I also like the music.

Hi All

Since you liked Red Baron 3D have you tried Rise Of Flight? It's a excellent WWI flight sim.
I highly recommend it.

My buddy has Rise of Flight.... Isn't it all about charging you through the nose for DLC/Planes etc??

Hi All

You have the option to purchase more planes if you want. The game itself is perfectly playable without any of additional aircraft or maps. It's up to the individual to decide how much or how little they want to expand.

Oh yea bought it on release. Played it on and off since then, but not lately. Beautiful game, planes, and awesome flight and damage model. My main issue was with the single player AI, both wingman and enemy. I guess multiplayer would be fun, but I didn't play that much.

Been playing Dying Light over the past few days and am really enjoying it. This game should be what Dead Island could have been.

Closed beta of Dirty Bomb. I'm too old for a fast twitch FPS (tendinitis in elbow) , and before I had even finished the tutorial, I had decided to uninstall the game. An hour later, I finally exited after my team won 3 out of 3 rounds. Dirty Bomb is from Splash Damage, the developers of Enemy Territory and Quake Wars.

I don't see any buzz being generated about the game, but since E.T. was in my top three games of all time, I always try and play a Splash Damage game when it comes out.

I loved Quake Wars. The reason I haven't payed attention to Splash Damage lately, was the whole "we won't let you play at 60FPS in single-player" thing from Brink. I actually thought Brink was a pretty cool game, but the 30FPS cap was pretty stupid for a game of this type. You could get around it by play multiplayer, and using a cvar or something, but I also like to practice alone, which made it feel different between the two. Anyway, hopefully this new game turns out well. I'll have to look into it.

I played the gotto-catch-them-all with amiibo's game this weekend and actually found a Toon Link :D

Other than that, played Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker with my son and had a blast with him.

I bought Shadows of Mordor on sale for PS4, will play some more of that. Its a little clunky, IMO, but I'm gonna play it a bit to unwind.

My main gaming sessions this weekend will be Marvel Heroes Grinding while watching Season 3 of House of Cards.

Some more Far Cry 4.

I'm thinking about just skipping all the stupid side missions, liberate this outpost, save these hostages, etc. and just finish the main storyline.

Majora's Mask on the New 3DS. Otherwise too many projects this weekend for gaming.

I'm debating seriously going back and playing through the Warcraft III campaign....

That and some DotA 2 I reckon.

Another weekend of Arma 3 ahead...with some FIFA and Assetto Corsa sprinkled in.

Metroid Prime on Gamecube. Started my second boss fight last night, but couldn't beat him. Finally called it and went to bed. I'll get him today. I've got the fight pretty much figured out.

Also there is a free log on weekend for FFXIV for people with existing accounts, so I will hop on and play some of that. It's a pretty cool MMO, I'm just too cheap to sub to it non stop.

Dragon Age II - Had it for a while sitting in my Origin account. Finally installed it and it's pretty good. Not a huge fan of the combat but the production is good.

Also a little WoW, just messing around with low level toons for now, waiting on getting WoD.

and I played....NOTHING!
Had no down time to speak of all weekend. Damn you RL!!!

I had around 40 minutes and I spent that doing a crossword, my favorite veg activity.

I did nothing as well. Damn 2 start-ups and life. Now to decide if I want to get rid of the desktop in lieu of a shiny new Alienware 15" for on-the-go gaming.

I thought that was going to happen this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised though. Wrapped up a few projects, and then played quite a bit. Mostly Majora's Mask and Mario Golf on the 3DS, so nothing big, but still fun.
