So... what's the news going to be about?

Will it be at GDC or GTC?

Share your rumors.

Why not list what they said so we dont get useless responses?

"I would like to invite you to attend a very special event on March 3rd.
More than 5 years in the making, what I want to share with you will redefine the future of gaming.

I look forward to seeing you there."

Its NOT a gpu and is probably something to do with GRID...

It's probably a console - some way to do games in the living room without a "complicated" PC. Could play games local and will likely do the whole cloud gaming thing. Probably using Tegra - so it could be XB1/PS4-powerful or maybe more if they opt to do something like use NVIDIA's awesome mobile GPUs (GTX 965M, 970M, 980M as examples) it'll blow away XB1/PS4.

I'd rather make numerous semi-related threads with titles typed by a five year old (example).

I don't think that he is from the USA, or speaks English natively. He does just fine communicating though. I'm able to figure it out.

I think its going to be about the new opengl coming out, and how they will fully endorse it.

Just another way to so to AMD (See we can use a different API) or some shit.

Of course I am guessing lol I have no idea.

I wouldn't bet on a new graphic card either, considering the "more than 5 years in the making" part (and there's no new architecture due anytime soon).

Could be VR, as someone mentioned.

A new Nintendo console using an NVIDIA GPU or possibly ARM SoC that is faster than Xbox One and PS4 but is also compatible with NVIDIA GRID.

Nintendo already all but confirmed AMD for next console as far as I know. GRID 3 with increased Steam Machine integration seems more likely to happen though. Valve is supposed to show off new models at GDC.

Hmmm new steam machine models and the Nvidia Announcement. Yea I would guess now that it's probably something to do with the Steam Box.

Imagine if it's the Steam Box being Nvidia powered, and HL3 confirmed (Watch them give HL3 for free when you purchase a steam box that would be HUGE)....Wow that would be something.

But I honestly think I'm thinking too much

Maybe they found a way to make g-sync technology compatible with existing monitors and now for the low, low price of $300 you can buy one, and with only a little soldering and some velcro you too can have a g-sync-ish monitor.

I think it's Tegra related.

Somebody said that during the financial analysts' call there was a question during the Tegra segment and Jen-Hsun said there would be an announcement in March.

Maybe it's Tegra with a big GPU for some kind of console?

Of course GTC will be Tegra-heavy with a lot of automotive talk. So he could have been referring to something there.

All signs point it to be Tegra

My take is

a) new shield tablet 10" Tegra X1 based
b) new shield portable 7"
c) Gaming Shield Watch
d) Tegra X1 game console a la ouya/Razer-ForgeTV/madcats-Mojo with Steam
e) shield VR
f) all of the above
g) none of the above.

I'd take an X1 streaming box, would be useful.

If the X1 has support for all the new-fangled fancy-pants codecs, then it would make for a good HTPC / Steam streaming box.

...if it's not insanely expensive...

Probably something that goes with the new trendy IoT crap going around these days. In other words probably boring to everyone but Nvidia and obsessive techno nerds who find everything with electricity and a circuit board "cool".

Suspiciously the Titan Black and Z are no longer in stock anywhere. To me that screams they've wound down inventory to launch its successor.

Jen Hsun is going to announce that his custom made lambo with an integrated NVIDIA Shield tablet has been 5 years in the making. Afterward, he'll take everyone to the parking lot where he'll drive off holding $100 bills in his hands. You heard it here first.

My wishful thinking says it's a fully DirectX 12 compatible GTX 990, launching mid-March for $700 :D

I heard that they will be integrating Tegra into smart TVs so that all manufacturer partners will basically have a gaming console built into the TV. An external SoC might come with it to plug and play on older TVs. They'll also probably take the opportunity to officially announce the TITAN X or whatever they're calling the TITAN successor.

It will be some tegra device or maybe some dx12 demo. We won't see the gk200 until after the 390 shows its face. They'll adjust clocks and pricing according to what the 390 looks like.

maybe they finally figured out a design for those goofy assed steam box controllers
