Oh boy and now this comes to light.

This article from FrostyTech in Sept 2010 explains it...

"Update to 09/08/2010 newspost.

William Gordon, the original owner of HeatsinkFactory.com just wrote in to clarify what's been happening with this cornerstone of online heatsink shopping. William has clarified why the website was offline for a short period of time, saying; "I noticed your article stating HeatsinkFactory is out of business and I wanted to clarify that is not true. The site is now owned by Mark Friga Jr. of FrozenCPU. It was down temporarily while the transition took place."

Heatsinkfactory.com huh, damn I didn't know that Mark has his hands in that too.

Both FrozenCPU and Heatsinkfactory has the same adress and phone numbers.

Hmmmmmmmmm mighty interesting to say the least.

I wonder if this whole thing is related to this from the past.

If some has updates on that lawsuit I would like to see it.

This sounds like a perfect opportunity for a known business in the community to expand, some place like McMaster Carr would be a good fit, or Caselabs, which already has an excellent reputation for superb customer service maybe this could be out with the old so to speak.

I only say this for the sake of competition, which is good for someone like me, a consumer. I personally have no problem purchasing from Preformance pcs as I have only had an excellent experience when purchasing from them. Granted I didn't have a problem with the merchandise so I had no reason to experience any bad customer service. I would in the future purchase with confidence, sounds like a commercial I know but it happens to be the truth.

I just wish I could fast forward to the end of this movie, it started as a drama turned into a tragedy followed by a horror show and now, it's just a comedy of errors with a bad script.

Honestly, in this day and age if you shop online using a payment method that doesn't carry any kind of fraud protection with it, and you get burned, then that's on you.

Most reputable banks ever offer debit cards with fraud protection (in the US, all visa debit cards provide that ). If someone's bank doesn't offer it, they need to change banks.

As for buying online with a bank transfer....frankly, that's seems like financial Russian Roulette to me.

Wait, you're talking about Frog protection, right? Because I get that from Discover.

can you check and see if your order is still in the "packing" phase and let me know if it has shipped?

The pictures I see show some minor vandalism and junk that needs basic clean up.

No one trashed the inventory or set the place on fire.

There's more to this that we just will never know.

I hope the business can get back up and running. but the owner/owners need to get the word out.

Yeah, because obviously the owners have nothing but good intentions. All they did was disconnect the phone lines and cease all communications with customers. It MUST be someone else's fault....

Excuse me, so it's OK to post things on a website that are 100% unsubstantiated?

I have seen nothing in either this forum or OCN that puts any truth to these rumors.

The only reality we have here is the posting by Kyle that says the business is still up and running.

These rumors have the potential to absolutely ruin this guy's business. A business that I have used for at least 10 years and the service has been perfect.

If I was the guy who owned Frozen, I'd have my lawyers doing some hard looking at this.

um. welcome to the internet bruh, not everything you read on it is true.

Ok Guys so here is the deal. I went to FrozenCPU this morning and here is what I found.

Clear evidence that no one has been at the building in days.

1) Shipping dock area completely covered in snow, no sign of any recent tire tracks. Even if they weren't actively clearing the snow, the light dusting we got last night would of still shown ridges from the tire tracks. It has been at least 2 days since that shipping dock has been used.
2) The parking lot behind the building that belongs to the business behind it shows what an active one looks like, where when I circle around to Frozen's it is completely covered with no evidence outside a car that turned around while I was there.
3) Doors are locked, only lights on are upstairs and those are just normal office lights that probably don't get turned off.
4) A bit of clutter including some rather out of place things looking in the main door.
5) No Evidence of a Vehicle driving into the building anywhere, you can put that silly rumor to rest.
6) No activity like you would expect from some place operating during its regular business hours. I showed up a few minutes early hoping to catch up with people going in, but nothing at all.

The video I took of my time there if you want proof of what I just posted.

Beginning of the video starts in the parking lot of the business behind Frozen.

finally. thanks man, good work

turns out he might be in Jail

previous arrest

and some one local found a mugshot of him locally and called the PD they told him he was in jail

"The pic of him being charged with DUI has a number at the top for records. I simply called and told he was in jail!

Why would he disconnect the phones and not take the site down? Well because phones were shut off for non payment most likely. Being faced with jail and knowing his business was soon to be lost he got loaded and trashed the place is what I think. Also I remember about 6 months ago he posted a pic on his personal facebook the pic was him handcuffed to a bench in jail. The caption read "they forgot to take my phone. We sometimes make bad dicisions in life and this one will cost me dearly" It takes months before you go to court for sentencing and that day happened people.

Make some calls people its public information."

OUCH!

Still though, why take it out on the business and steer it right into the ground? Makes no sense. Oh well, only the boss knows the answer to that.

Given that they have charged customers and not shipped and have no intention of doing so, shouldn't the DA be looking into this company for possible criminal charges?

If its true and he is in jail....

Its possible the website is just running like it should, auto processing card transactions ( mine does this). Since he is locked up and everyone else is fired there is no one to put up a message or prevent incoming orders. we may not see any changes till he posts bail/ gets out / has his initial court hearing. given he has a previous incident of driving under the influence. its possible he may have been caught DUI again with an instant 7-15+ days in the tank

OK....so we should automatically assume the worst......hell let's hang him.....

First of all, can you make a purchase on their website right now?

Secondly, I'm thinking that the proper way to handle this is to simply ask for your credit card company to cancel any purchase you made from FCPU recently.

It's sad they haven't put anything up on the website to temporarily halt sales.

I agree, if you want to believe all this rumor, this makes sense.

If indeed there has been some jail, this explains the silence from the company.....

still you'd think the guy's lawyer might want to help out and get some information out there.

Register your complaints here folks...
This is no longer an A+ business!

Funny you think the BBB actually matters for anything. Maybe you should contact Santa also to get him off the good list while you are at it.

Nonpay take longer than a few days. You would need to go about 1 - 2 months without paying for them to get shut off, if they were shipping out items just last week or the week before than they were up and running (and thus one can assume paying bills) till then. Also while not in all places, many places don't actually turn your service completely off but put it on a temporary block at first meaning that when you call you don't get a message that the number is no longer valid, but that "the number you are calling is temporarily unavailable" same type of recording you would get if the circuits where down or something else caused a temp lack of service. Which how quickly they went down and the message, I would have to say that somebody actively called to cancel the services.

I also wouldn't recommend large numbers of people start calling the police station.

The problem with that rumor is that he contacted Kyle back. So that means that after this all started, at which point you are wanting to assume he was in jail, he was able to respond to email. So if he was able to respond to email he has internet access and as such could have updated any other social media or his site or anything else. Therefor that rumor makes no sense at all.

Who said it was actually him that replied to that email? I could reply to your emails if you were sitting in jail - if I had, or was given, access to the password. :p

HA. santa.

RS on the other hand has been used for over a year by the banks last month about it's valuation income vs bond-price! the banks had bond investers at 7 times it's real value!
that's why they kept injecting money into it.

this ignores the possibility that someone could write an email covering for him.

The other part of that equation....when was he "in jail"? At the time he contacted Kyle? After that? before or out on bail? Never was?

Maybe someone else contacted Kyle? Maybe his mother?

It's all rampant speculation....

I didn't see this mentioned over on the Overclock.net forum.. but here is a post from the guy who knows/knew Mark and who built this..

350x700px_LL_65b15364_232.jpg

It's become apparent, after being emailed, Texted, tweeted, fb messaged the same image repeatedly by friends, that I need to post my reaction here. Like I said, I would have never predicted the FrozenCPU build getting more attention in destroyed state, but it's oddly comforting to know it was quickly identified

I was wondering just what that picture was.
Jesus now I know.
I remember reading about that build on both Frozen and MNpctech websites.

Looks like a lot of this is the real deal now.

Seeing that quote from Matthew Buckner is a pretty reliable source combined with what Bill Owens had to say.

Yikes.

I hope someone steps in to salvage this.

The people that still believe that this is done is the same people that need to see the dude on top of his wife but still doesnt believe shes cheating.

Ive been following this thread since it started and its funny and disturbing that with all the evidence people have posted and my man dark went there and made a video, people are still saying this is just a rumor lol.

Give it a rest. Your hero is under. Its PUBLIC INFORMATION if anyone is in jail. Go to that counties website and take a look for yourselves.
