So I'm thinking about upgrading to the HD600s. I have a pair of swans speakers to tide me over in the meantime.

These are a pretty old set of headphones but they're in good shape. I bought them around mid 2006. I never used a dedicated amp though which is one of my regrets. Apparently makes them sound much better.

Cons:
Sennheiser letters are fading on the top. You can still read it fine, but the edges are fading away. Minor chipping of the headband paint (dark grey paint, black underneath)

The headband is held in by two plastic things. One broke off, so now if you want you can slide the headband to the left. It's still held in on rails so it won't fall off, and it won't slide unless you decide for whatever reason you want to move it.

The ear pads are a little worn so they're about 80% as comfortable as when new. Still a comfy set of headphones though.

Pros:
Upgraded the cable (I believe to the hd600/650 version. Think they're the same)
Cable comes standard with a 1/4" jack (for professional audio stuff) and has a sennheiser adapter added on to make it into a 1/8" jack compatible with sound cards/mp3 players, etc.
The upgraded cable is solid and doesn't have seem to have the same tendency to break as the original cable. It's a common upgrade.

Shipping: Most likely USPS, but I could do something different if you prefer. Expect $5-10 in shipping.
Payment: Paypal. Half now, half after arrival is fine by me.

The HD580 and HD600 use the same drivers so it's not much of an upgrade. Also, you could just purchase the grills of the HD600 if you really wanted.
