If you have $6 bucks in your pocket and you want to wreak a little vengeance on a competitor’s website, who you gonna’ call: The Lizard Squad, that’s who. The fact that the group has been exposed and members arrested doesn’t seem to even faze the group that reportedly took down Sony, PSN and XBL Networks. The site is up and down at this time due to server changes according to a Twitter post from the Lizard Squad.

The highest tier of service allegedly lets customers launch attacks that will make a target inaccessible for about twenty days. Seems like good value for money, if it works.

What a bunch of a-holes.

They are a joke. Just incarcerate them and let them rot.

They committed multiple felonies to make a quick 500 bucks. Not the smartest bunch of crooks. Also what's to stop someone from using the tool to target lizard squids own website?

Isn't this considered organized crime? They should be facing decades in jail.

all it costs is $6?...they work for cheap or love doing pro-bono work

What is HILARIOUS is that the news site, and even sites like [H] are spreading this news story like it is one.
Stressors have been around and simple to use for well over two years now. Not only is it not new but neither is the stressor interface they are using. It's one of the prepackaged one for sale.
Now if that isn't funny enough, here is the HILARIOUS part. Those that are using it are not only signing up on a insecure database they are signing up with a prolific CC thief. And it better, he's run a service that specializes in RAT'ing people computers making them into yet another BOT.
Don't have to believe me http://krebsonsecurity.com/ has an a good write up on them. Matter of fact, I would provide the direct link to the article but the site is currently down due to a ddos. There kind of mad at him for putting there shit in the street. LOL

Only bad thing here is the more coverage this gets the more script kiddies will learn of stressors.

They've crossed the line with this,it puts them in the same class as extortionists and blackmailers, and they should be prosecuted as such.

It is back up and is a really good read. Those script kiddies are what is wrong with these little pukes these days. That is what happens when parents stop spanking their children, and is what happens in a world that contines with this kids will be kids attitude instead of enforcing severe consequences. I would like to see those pricks pull that same kind of crap without the safety of their little Euro and Scandinavian countries.

For the DDOS of PSN/Live, it was 3,000 mega vouchers (normally $99) that they were going to try to sell for $50/each so $15,000 split between them. That was supposedly their demo for their new service.

Still not the smartest bunch, especially with two of them allegedly caught already.

The Krebs' write up on them is quite good.

Hell yeah! I'll pay them $6 to take down their own website. :D
