Crazy Phone Case Concept Is Puzzling

They worked really hard not to show that actual product in that video - idiots.

That's because from the few times they did show it, you could see the ''super slim iPhone'' transformed into a damn 90's brick phone.
Their whole concept of "Why carry a big bulky dedicated camera which takes great photos when instead you can not save space by turning your phone into a big bulky camera and carrying it instead... oh shit...

If it's a concept, then pretty cool. As a finished product? No way. Too big and bulky.

Although I'm not a fan of these camera lenses for phones.

Its not a phone, its an harness for an iphone providing a number of lenses to augment the camera.

What an asinine, pointless way to try and introduce a product.

No explanation. Hell, there's nothing even actually connecting the product to the mobile phone due to the way they jump-cut. You see them playing with some sort of puzzle thingy, and then the jump cut, then someone else is holding an mobile phone in some sort of case that's not positively identified as the PuzzleLook thing.

Stupid.

This is the trendy new way of introducing products.

I dunno, the video made it clear to me what the product was

You might as well buy a point and shoot camera after seeing how big this thing makes your iphone.

It looks like a great way to advertise compact cameras - hey, look at this clunky "alternative" that will make your phone look like crap and take even worse photos!
And let's not even start discussing the "SLR" moniker which does not apply to lenses...

I too came here to complain about the "SLR" moniker.... Although my complaint is not about it not applying to lenses, as it almost does apply to lenses when used the way they intended it. Their intent in describing the lenses with this term, for instance as SLR LENS 10mm, is to say that it has an Angle of View equivalent to that of a 10mm lens on a 35mm camera. Rather than say that, or anything close to that so it makes sense, they decided to just say "SLR LENS 10mm". It is stupid and wrong, but not so much because what they are trying to describe doesn't exist, but because it is just a really bad way of trying to say what they were trying to say.

i just assumed that they equipped the case with a separate slr, in addition to the swappable lenses.

You know in the old days, we used drugs to alter our perceptions now, we have expensive technology to do a bad job of it. Kinda makes you go hmm...

The term 'SLR' gets tossed around so much it's useless. This case apparently uses "SLR Lenses". There is no such thing as a "SLR-specific" lens. The SLR designation (Single Lens Reflex), only applies to the camera body. Unless you camera has a mirror to "reflex" out of the way when shooting an image it isn't a SLR or DSLR. Hell my GH4 doesn't even have a mirror in it and people still call it a DSLR. Those people are dumb.

I'm an idiot, people have already commented on this very subject. Will read the entire thread first next time.

Wow. Someone actually came up with a phone case that needs its own case. This is the least practical case ever. I dropped my phone. Thank goodness the case protected it. The 6 lenses built into the case all shattered but the phone is safe. No big deal because the lenses were all scratched up from me putting my phone down on a table anyway.
