Picked up Dead Space 2, F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn DLC, and the Borderlands 2 - Psycho Pack DLC.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for $30? No thank you. Maybe during the summer.

Why does this Steam sale seem a little "meh"? Only one vote every 24 hours, and a flash sale every 12 hours? I could have sworn it was more often in the past.

It was more often but it's not like there were more deals. Deals repeated sometimes two or three times and showed up in community choice. So if they cut down on repeat deals then I'd say it's better.

I want like Divinity Original Sin for like 17.99 or something I doubt it will go lower.
 
Yeah Rage was 5.00 at one time like last year =)

Update the price just changed to 4.99 took like 15 mins to update
 
Borderlands 2 Season pass is expensive. I can get the BL2 + Season pass for almost the same price as just the seasons pass. I only have ~ 8 hours into the game and seem to get bored of it quickly anyways.

Which makes it even more ridiculous that it's only a 17% off sale. Actually, looks like it took time to update. Now it's 33% off... still not the 50% off for the nex-gen console versions.

Depends on the type of game I suppose. Call of Duty Series rarely even goes to 50% off. Even ones from years ago.
 
I haven't bought anything yet. I'm still waiting for -50% or more deals on newish games. SoM and AC:U are on my wishlist.

I was surprised looking at Rage, the user reviews on Steam are quite positive. I know that game has a horrible reputation around here.

It's tempting but I probably won't pick it up, as my backlog is way too big already.

I'd seen it at $5 previously and was hoping it would go under this because of the mixed reviews. Guess that won't happen this year!

It's not THAT bad. I mean the graphics are pretty disgusting in most places (look semi impressive from far away, just don't get close). The gameplay is actually pretty fun, and the story is OK until the horrible ending. That ending literally felt like someone was like, fuck, we need to finish this in the next 5 minutes!
 
I enjoyed Rage. The gunplay was very good. Unlike many single player fps titles these days.
 
You aren't missing anything if you never play Rage.... trust me. I've played through it twice bc I couldn't believe how much I hated it the first time. Figured I had to try once more. It didn't help.
 
Castle Crasher under $2 is a good deal.
It really is a fun game to play with other people.

Damn, so much for hoping things get better.

So far I'm currently a couple hours in and while yes the gunplay is good and movement feels nicely weighted I haven't been engrossed by it like say...Fallout. The world feels pretty shallow, story is total pants, driving element needs to be scrapped (racing with a keyboard is pretty obnoxious), and the hideously heinous textures even with the "8k" tweak are almost unforgivable. Right now I'm only playing it because I feel like I should because I bought it. Not the best sensation I must admit.

From a distance though, this game is pretty. It's like walking around in a giant oil painting. The characters also have excellent animations and voice acting. It's almost like they were animated by Disney artists whenever they speak and gesticulate. But still, those blurry textures are damning. The fact that it's not a DirectX game doesn't help either because otherwise injectors like SweetFX could help sharpen things up.
 
Risk of Rain is the shit if you're into old school rogue-like platformers.

I've heard nothing but good things about it except it is kind of short. It's definitely on my want list, but with the length of my backlog as it is now I'm waiting until it's at least 50% off.

I enjoyed RAGE. The feelings toward the game are heavily mixed. Which is okay, since everyone is entitled their opinion.

The best thing about RAGE for me, is the enemy movement. Its mind blowing at times when your getting charged and the enemies are leaping off the walls and swinging from the rafters. Just wish more of the game could of been that polished.


Edit: Looking for Kerbal Space program for around $15. And maybe Dark Souls 2 for under $10. If anyone was on the fence for DayZ, the alpha has come along way, and I dont think ROCKET is going to be working on the game any more. So i think shit will actually move along quite nicely.

Anyone here try out Dead State? There are some mixed opinions on Steam about the dev's launching it early and full of bugs... but still looks interesting to me. Thanks
 
Hmm, I guess $6 for Prison Architect is low enough to give it a shot.

I posted on the Steam Forums that I just got out of the Clink and used to talk to Charles Manson in the Yard I got about 9 replies which I didn't have time to read and the thread got deleted.
