Assassin's Creed: Unity Patch Is 40GB?

Even at that, 7gig for a patch is insane. Shows just how behind this game development was. I think it's safe to say they may have just reached beta.

Allegedly it's so big because they had to redo the entire city to make it less complex to help framerate. I still would be upset over downloading it again as it's a large portion of my data cap.

Um last i knew Comcast suspended that limit a long time ago, its only AT&Shit that still has them and enforces the. 250GB is their uverse service, ADSL is 150gb.

You'll have it again within a short period of time. Comcast is testing different variations of plans in several locations, and it looks like the one that's going to win is the one I'm under. 300GB and $10 for every 50GB over.

BF4 and SimCity were both pretty damn bad. They are at this level or at least close.

Yeah BF4 was nearly unplayable for me the first two months it was out. Game was a collosally bug ridden mess on release.

Wow, whatever EA did to make themselves Americas most hated company, Ubisoft has them beat ten fold. I'm feeling very confident in my decision a year ago to stop buying any of their products. I'm not sure what anybody sees in their rehashed, over-hyped, unoriginal, over priced, repetitive, buggy cluster fucks they call games..

Oh Ubisoft. Just bury yourself. Its just hysterical at this point to see you *attempt* at anything remotely sensible.

I would honestly take whatever studios you have working on the next ass creed game and dedicate them to making sure your new leaked ass creed : London game comes out COMPLETELY free of issues.

One more fuck up and you are truly destroying this franchise for good.

Wait didnt they jsut say they wouldn't rush of patch 4 due to how dedicated they are to quality of their code.... and the freaking patch installer is broken ?

I mean that has to be some long running joke right there.

Aaaaaand...this is why I now refuse to pre-order or buy freshly launched buggy/incomplete games, no matter who the developer and publisher are. I'm not going to shell out $60+ to be a Beta tester.

There are games that I totally want to play as soon as they release, but I'm going to be waiting until probably 2-6 months after launch, because we all know by now that major kinks will be present and have to be worked out: Batman Arkham Knight, Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Unity, and GTA5.

No doubt!

The best part is by the time all the Alpha and Beta Testers shell out $60-$100(+) to get the game in working order the price will have dropped to ~$10-$20.

It's ridiculous. The AC franchise has been done for me since part 3. It did not need to go further.

Not to crash your rant, but...

AC4 > AC3

AC3 failed in a lot of ways. AC4 redeemed what AC3 had destroyed.

Personally I think the entire AC franchise is crap.

Glad I didn't get sucked into them, otherwise i'd be stuck downloading a 40gb update right about now.

This here. A patch shouldn't be more then a few hundred MB. Anything bigger than that means there was a serious problem.

It even says in the OP that the patch wasn't 40 GB. Just for some reason it was requiring some people to re-download the entire game.

That's a strange glitch that's actually happened to me on some other games in the past.
