Oh look, it's finally Sprints turn to be on the receiving end of some cramming for a change. :D

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which has been working with the Federal Communications Commission, announced Wednesday it has filed a lawsuit in federal court against the wireless carrier, alleging it illegally billed wireless customers for unauthorized third-party charges. The suit also alleges that Sprint ignored complaints about the charges. The agency is seeking refunds to affected consumers as well as penalties to deter future unauthorized third-party charges.

Good. When we were on Sprint they had a few weird subscription charges that we didn't authorize. They would never take them off and ignored the requests.

Maybe they should be sued for their shitty fucking network. Unlimited data, my ass. It's like leaving an empty bowl outside on halloween with a note telling people to take as much as they want.

As a former Sprint customer I must ask..
There was a bowl?!

I hear this all the time. Ive been a customer for 10+ years, and never had an issue. I did however did not like paying for initial 4G service when most of my state did not have it. :D

Once it was laid out, I have been extremely happy. But I also have a unlimited grandfathered plan, that I pay less than half of what most customers do. Can't complain.

Why don't they get on sprint for their BS administration and surcharges. I always thought it should be hit for false advertising when they say it is $X / month but then they have like $20 in random charges, these are not taxes, they are things sprint assesses themselves they just randomly tack on to everyone's bills. Far worse than the pretty much completely avoidable cramming charges that no one with half a brain ever got hit with and even if they did they could call and have the charges removed.

I've been a customer for 10 years as well. LTE was great around Charlotte when it first rolled out. Now...heh, now I'm lucky to get 1-2 mbps down and .1 up. If that. That's if it actually stays on 4G. 90% of the time it drops back to 3G when I start using data and I get less than dial up speed. It's horrible. Worse than horrible.

I always wonder why people bother with telling others "it works great for me". If they offer service, it SHOULD work great. You pay. They provide.

Unfortunately many cities where they offer "coverage" the network is sooooo slow, that they are not living up to their end of the bargain.

I would agree with the empty bowl analogy, where I live.
