Hi, looking for the best video card for 4K videos on my HTCP.

CPU - G2020 Onboard card....

Ram - 8GB

When i play 4K videos, on youtube or any 4K videos, its totally lagging. So i need to get the best card for the money, budget is around 120$/100euros....

I need to know which card would offer the best support for H265/H264, and other popular codecs for smooth video playback, although youtube now runs in HTML5 which afaik is not hardware accelerated (or i'm wrong?) i will be mostly using MPHC as a player to watch 4K content taken with my Note 4 which records 4K videos @~50mbps H264 - AAC ~ 256.

Also keep in mind, i don't have 4K monitor yet, i just want to watch downscaled videos on my 1200p monitor, they look much better compared to the 1080p ones anyway, and i will be getting 4K monitor in near future anyway.

So in short most "advanced" card for downscaling/decoding (best and most variety of codecs support) on youtube and 4K movies/clips video card? thanks!

Well the GTX 750 will almost certainly be suitable since the GTX 750ti was not exactly struggling going by test data with the exception of the last scenario.

The actual video decoding hardware should be identical with the two. While compute performance between the two is at most around 20% difference.

If you want actual full hardware h.265 support, for maximum efficiency with future 4k decoding, nothing on the market so far not even the new GM204 has it. The only announced products are ARM SoCs which are not yet in shipping products.

Thanks, would the GTX750 offer me great 4K playback even with the crappy G2020? (Youtube and MPHC)

I just installed the card, GTX750 ti 0 improvements..

Nothing, nada :(

This is what it says in MPHC filters...

What i'm missing?

What is your source file? Does it work using say WMP? Or VLC?

Select LAV Video Decoder (internal) -> On the top right side you can adjust hardware acceleration options.

Actually I'm not sure if you've tried this, by leveraging QuickSync, to see it'd work with Pentium.

I got it working, but i found out that only the 32 bit version support madVR, problem being, i can't get the 32 version to work no matter what due to some strange bug, i installed the X86 version, but it does install the 64 bit instead? deleted the downloads, and tried from scratch, used revo uninstaller, and tried to even reboot after, did this 3 times, nothing helps.

Always 64 bit installed at the end, even i use 32 bit installer?
Psyside is online now Report Post

What is it saying when you open task manager with MPC open (should say 32 bit or not)?

The image of your properties tab is just saying you are using Win 8.1 64 bit as your OS.

What is the issue you're having with MadVR and MPC?

I fixed it, all working now, but i don't know what additional settings to use, in order to get best image quality?
