Yes, it supports 4x2gb sticks of ECC or non-ECC unregistered memory. Those should be fine. That'd be nice, but I'm confused about the memory "System Memory Controller
o Supports 512 Mbit and 1 Gbit memory technologies" (p. 16) ... does it support 2GB memory modules per slot, 2x4 - 8GB total? I'm currently using a pair of OCZ 2x2 GB and a pair of G.SKILL 2x2 GB both sets unregistered - non-ecc.
The SHLC variant has one x16, and two x8 physical. One of those is x8 electrical, the other x4. See page 25 of the TPS.Also does it support PCIe x 16 or x 8? It's not very clear, but documentation says dual PCIe x 8.
This board isn't really designed for overclocking at all. It might be able to do some, but it's definitely a server-oriented board rather than a desktop board.I wouldn't have a clue if the S3210SHLC would work well with moderate gaming, or OC'ing (my Q6600 3.0Ghz) either, since I'm use to buying aftermarket (MSI, GB, EVGA) boards; though, I know Intel has very solid products.
I was there once How about $40?Still, I'd assume that you'd be looking for a hefty price for that board, and being college student I have a tight budget, but throw me a rough price.
