Hello All,

The components for my new rig will be here in the next few days and I need to order a new monitor. I have it narrowed to the following:

AOC Q2770Pqu
BenQ BL2710PT
BenQ BL3200PT
Viewsonic VP2700
NEC EA274wmi - added

I will be doing programming, Oracle System Administration, browsing, and some light gaming. I've read every thread and review on these displays. Unfortunately I don't have any stores within 150 miles that carry any of these devices so I can judge them in person. I would really appreciate any advice that any of you may have on which of the four is the best.

Thanks in Advance!

I have a BENQ flicker free it doesn't help me one bit....just thought I would add that it's boxed up.
ASUS anything is a god send...

I can use the BENQ but it's not as comfortable as advertised.

If you have the cash I would get a IPS EIZO =)

If you're going to be working with text, then I'd opt for the 27" monitors. The higher PPI really make a world of difference for text sharpness; that being said, the BenQ BL3200PT is glow free, and has much higher black depth. That's really the only distinction, other than the 27" IPS monitors having lower input lag and better response time making them better for gaming.

There's absolutely no reason to consider the Viewsonic as it's priced much higher than the AOC Q2770PQU and the BenQ BL2710PT and offers no performance benefit.

The Q2770PQU and the BL2710PT are pretty much equal in performance, but the BL2710PT has better default color presets.

Basically, go with the BenQ BL2710PT.

That makes all of zero sense as the only non-wide gamut 27" 1440p Asus uses PWM.

After using a 27" 2560x1440 monitor, the 32" BenQ at the same resolution was not sharp enough for me - I would avoid that one if you are used to a higher ppi screen. Then 27" BenQ is a solid option and can be found on sale from 350 to 375.

There's no point in paying more for the NEC and Viewsonic. Buy an AOC or BenQ from a retailer with a hassle free return policy, or order both and return the lesser monitor.

I received my BenQ BL2710PT yesterday and it was defective out of the box. The on-off switch and the OSD touch button panel were completely borked. The monitor could not be powered off an none of the OSD touch buttons worked properly. The monitor received a signal via display port for about an hour and then quit. It's going back today!
