Do you know what the truly sad part about this is? Triple A games launching with more hang-ups than a Christmas tree seems to be the norm these days. :(

We’re now on the 5th day after Driveclub‘s problematic release, and Evolution Studios is hard at work on the game, trying to solve the connectivity issues which have plagued it since launch. As usual, Game Director Paul Rustchynsky took to Twitter to address concerns and give more information to the fans, also admitting that the problems are proving challenging.

Considering the rather lengthy delay for its release, it is quite surprising the multitude of problems it is facing. Will be curious to see how long it takes Evolution to work it out.

They should just pull the plug before it snowballs with more bad news of Sony first party games getting delayed to 2016.

I think I have decided to never pre-order a game again. Too many overhyped or just plain F-ed up games at release. Really disappointed in the lack of quality games this generation. Other than diablo3 (which took 2 years to fix) and minecraft (5yr daughter loves it), my ps4 collects dust. I'm still holding out for a decent racing game, decent rpg, and maybe a open world shooter/rpg hybrid (what destiny should have been).

Driveclub is absolutely not a AAA game, it is a warning shot for people not to get excited about hype for unreleased franchises.

Meanwhile Forza Horizon 2 is cleaning up with high praise. Maybe people will finally see past Sony's smoke a mirrors with PS4. Right now the Xbox One is the better console value. While I understand it's the "weaker" hardware MS is constantly providing more features and solid first party gaming experiences.

One failed game does not make a console a worse value. While I'm getting a XB1 just for Forza, I would get a PS4 if I was a true console gamer, not one who just gets consoles for exclusives and racing games.

Driveclub is just a shitty game, I don't think anyone is arguing that Driveclub has any advantage over Forza 5 or Forza Horizon 2.

There was a lot of talk on many of the game forums on how Drive Club was going to be a Forza killer.

I'm not really impressed with Drive Club; that said, I never really expected it to satiate my driving game needs so I'll be waiting on Gran Turismo.

Neither Drive Club nor Forza represents the entire console platform. So I don't see what it has to do with the overall console value

They ran simulated load tests, that's the problem. GTA Online did that and we know how that launched. Destiny went with live open alpha and then beta tests and poured serious money into making sure shit worked and look how that launched.

Real friends don't let developer friends believe that synthetic load tests are in any way representative of the final pressure a game that wants to have a constant chatter between client and server puts on the pipes and processes.
