This is a pretty old chip but wanted to know if anyone could recommend a good board in both sizes with onboard WIFI. I am trying to build an SFF gaming rig as I got the chip cheap on the boards for a friend.

i love that chip.. <3 i had one.. well i can only think in this Asus P5B but you have to forget about serious overclocking and so on... IDK if this exactly board have support for the Q9450 but i know it can handle others older C2Q chips.. but man you will have a hard time trying to find any of those 775boards.. as they are EOL very long time ago..

Thanks for the recommendation but that board is standard ATX I believe. My friend wants it small so I am trying to find a mini ITX. Found some on eBay but IMO they are quite expensive.

The chip is pretty good. I have it in the ATX mobo that it was sold to me in. It plays all the modern games at full speed and hit the benchmarks in USFIV over 200 FPS. It's paired with a GTX 660. I just hate the ram, only 8 GB max. That means that I can only max it to 4 GB on a mITX, correct?

why would it be 8GB max?
I'm pretty sure I had 16GB in my Q6600 system

sorry, no suggestion for a board. Anything for that socket would be quite old, and most certainly used.

I was under the impression that it was 8GB max for this chip. My current motherboard (ASUS ROG Maximus Extreme) supports a max of 8 GB with 2x4 GB DDR3.
