Final Fantasy XV & Type-0 trailers

Looks very nice but am I the only one who thinks this look's like a hack n slash of a modded Skyrim?

XV was originally a spin off called Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Also by the creator of Kingdom Hearts so combat is similar there.

Type-O HD is suppose to come with a demo of XV and has a 3/17/15 release date.
 
Men, swords, bonding, cars, camping, pop star hair, road trips, teleportation, leather pants

I'm fuckin pumped man, game has it all

This is less FFXII like, more Witcher like.

Still no release date...
Maybe the game will actually get finished now that they pulled Nomura off directing and replaced him with Tabata. Maybe thats how we got this video... Just finish it already...
 
Actually looks decent, which I was not expecting at all. They have been busy. KH3, FFXV, type-0, MMO.

Kinda get a ff8 vibe from the atmosphere, only time will tell though.

When the first trailer came out in 2006, back when it was called Final Fantasy Versus XIII, it had an entirely different atmosphere to it.. almost like a very dark film. The 2013 E3 trailer showed how the game was heavily influenced by French/Venetian architecture/styles intertwined with a modern-day Tokyo.

This trailer looks awesome though, and it seems like it'll be a huge open world. Might have to get a PS4 for this game!

I guess FFXV is far enough along. They announced the lead developer will be shifting much more focus on KH3.

I'm really concerned that there is no release date, especially considering how long it's been since it's a NEW numerical, single-player entry. It'll be nine years if it comes out next year, and there is no indication it will be out soon.
 
Wouldn't mind either of these on the Wii-U. Sigh!

I really REALLY dont want to buy a PS4, but there are a few games that are becoming exclusive, so its interesting.

I read an interview yesterday that Tabata said the game is around 60% done, but he had to clarify the 60% meaning, since he took over. So he's saying that they reached this 60% in the last 2 years, not the total 9 years.....

So.... 2016 is my guess.... or never....
 
I've been playing almost exclusively MMORPG and 1st person shooters on the PC for the past few years (the last JRPG I played was FFX) and only recently got back into the console scene with my PS4. But have JRPGs as a whole changed more into action games or is this more that the FF series became an action game?

This will be the first FF in the main series to go action RPG. If you're looking for a more classic JRPG, Persona 5 is coming to PS4 in 2015. Amazing series which has been better than FF for many years.
