I know this is a long shot, but does anyone here on the forum have a NEC Turbo Duo complete in box they would like to sell?

Thanks.

God damnit!

I'm just getting back into older consoles and hadn't wanted any TG16 dirrivitives until you mentioned Bonk. Damn you, sir!

Also good luck to the OP on finding a Duo.

I was going to suggest Ebay.. but the Turbo Duo and the TG16 with CD are going for $300+

Crazy.

I knew there was a reason I kept my TG-16 system w/CD.. and almost 100 games.

Anyway, the cheapest way for you is probably going to be to get a copy of MagicEngine, the PCEngine/TurboGrafx emulator.

It really sucks, becaue I don't see price falling since it was a niche system in the US. JP versions of the system and games are cheaper, but not by that much.

Yeah, I was going to suggest the emulator as well with a decent game pad...I used to have the Japanese versions - the PC-Engine and the rare SuperGrafx - Only seven games were produced which took advantage of the improved SuperGrafx hardware...think I had only found 3 of them back in the day. Super Ghosts and Goblins was one..pretty cool.

Oh - I also had the Turbo Express handheld - for a few days but returned it....think the one I found had pixel issues if I recall...

Anyways - on with hunt! - good luck sir! /bump

I have some one who sells PC Engine Duo recapped and all for 235, which plays US Hu-cards.

But I collect this stuff, and don't resell it like a lot of people which why prices are so damn high.

Another thing is, back when the Duo was released when I was 8 I could not afford one, and only had the SNES, so the little kid in me wants what I could never afford 22 years ago.

One of my all time best memories was walking into a local Babbages after cashing out my savings at 16 and asking the women behind the counter for both the neo geo gold system and a NEC turbo duo system.. All alone.. Boy was I afaird to walk out of the mall with 2 large white bags.. Thank god I was a.big guy.

Really sucked to find out right afterward that the us was discontinuing selling the systems and games when I bought them. I did manage to buy up a few neo geo games buy mail order in the mags but the NEC suffered.

Oh and good luck on ur hunt! The NEC is a great system.. Loved those games and the graphics and colors were awesome.

Thanks,

The only place I've found any are online like ebay and amazon. Living in a city where there were not many released really hurts the the search when I go to flea markets and garage sales.

I found only 2 games locally, and the rest via retro stores in another cities like philly or NYC.
