I don't care who you are or how big your company is, a $26 billion hit still has to sting.

Following news of the latest security attack of Apple’s iCloud service over the weekend and news of a smartphone partnership between Samsung and Facebook (FB), Apple’s shares are under major pressure. Shares of Apple Wednesday fell $4.36, or 4.4%, to $98.94. That’s the biggest dollar decline by Apple since it lost $6.19, or 8%, to $71.17 on a split-adjusted basis on Jan. 28, 2014, according to data from Yahoo Finance.

So much for that whole "immune to hacking" illusion they cast on the world 20 years ago. Doesn't really matter how the guy got in, people took notice.

Seems like a good buy now with the iPhone 6 coming out...and I don't even like Apple

Will the iPhone 6's larger screen compel more slutty celebrities to take nude pics?

I've never completely understood the Apple obsession in America.
I remember when NY and Jersey got hit with the flooding, millions were without food, water or utilities BUT people STILL stood in lines at Apple stores to get the latest iPads.
No food, water or power? Its OK! I bought an iPad!
That sounds like a cult to me.

If the China iPhone 6 price leaks are mirrored in the U.S. the stock may go down to $75.

No biggie. First and foremost by far, Apple is a hardware company. Sure, the services are extremely important and power our mobile world, but it's really all about the hardware from an Apple perspective. People are going to line up for the iPhone 6 and they'll sell a zillion of them in a day.

Next.

To make that back all Apple has to do is market the Iphone6 as 'more secure than previous models' and the sheeples will line the streets bent over queuing to get screwed again.

Willing to bet it's because iOS products are getting harder and harder to jailbreak. Android gets more attractive when you realize that the only thing you need to do is root, and a lot of phones are friendly about it.

people were just taking profits, and the stock price was stagnating.

a chance for some people get out, others to get in.

This is normal, it will bounce back up a PE of 15 is too good. Actually I think the big players like to force this to happen on purpose. They are slowly buying in right now.

Doesn't Apple has $26 Billion just under the seat cushions at 1 Infinite Loop??

Can always count on Steve to report any and all Oculus, negative Apple, and Robots Will Kill Us All news. That is why I frequent this place!!

No, first and foremost they're a marketing company. The widgets they market just happen to be consumer electronics devices.

This is truly a huge loss! Apple's stock hasn't been this low in over 2 weeks.

Premarket is looking interesting; liking this pullback to add more to my position.

Those are not real money, only if someone is willing to pay that much.

What if hackers are using the leaked photos to game the market. Drag the price down prior to release, buy up a bunch of stock, sell when it goes back on its normal path.

I am gambling $1k on it. The only thing Apple I will have ever owned is their stock at the end of the day Monday.

Manipulation by the institutionals. Once the suckers (ahem, Joe Average) start joining in, the institutionals will buy buy buy and laugh all the way to the bank. Selling stock because of a flaw in a security API? Only idiots do that. Do the damn research. It WASN'T a breach. It was just stupidity on the part of the API developers.

BIGGEST LOSS........(in less then a year)
Yeah that's what I was thinking... it's like "That was the biggest loss since Black Monday" no, it's more like "THIS IS THE LARGEST DECLINE SINCE LAST WEEK!!!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!?!? *SCREAM*"
