Console peasants? Hah! I've never heard that one before. That is comedy gold! :D

Matthew Higby really sell the upcoming console version of the shooter. After mentioning some of the PC fixes that have come from work on the PS4 version he adds this:

"We’re all getting a ton of benefit. Even if you’re not a console peasant you’ll appreciate what you get out of the console game."

I play a lot of Planetside 2 and follow its development. Higby is well versed in the internet and its slang, so this was intentional poking of console players, knowing that he was speaking to a mostly PC playing audience, done in good fun.

Well what difference does it make we all have our preferences.
 
I find it funny that Yahtzee is getting acknowledged in a crazy round about way by someone in the industry.

Why don't he doesn't call himself just Ben, what does Yahtzee have to do with anything, attempt at cool?
 
I think its okay. People have to seek out a way to feel better about themselves and if it's pretty harmless, school boy name-calling to meaninglessly make fun of one another over how they play video games. It's better than a lot of alternatives so if that's what people need to do to fill psychological voids, I say go make fun of each other. :)
