Blizzard Announces the Release Date for Warlords of Draenor

Amateurs. Everquest should be coming out with its 21st expansion in October.

I wonder how many people still play this game after 10years. The first year or so were fun, but after awhile it just drags. I felt like I had a non paying job or something.

I tried to come back during burning crusade and again during cata, but I quickly realized it's the same grind over and over again. No thank you.

Warlords of Draenor, FINALLY continuing the damn story after the Lich King.

Good thing I'm not going to play the game, to get the same gear, with the same mods, getting the same tradeskill stuff, fighting different bosses with the same mechanics ... and it goes on. I'll read up on the story/lore afterwards.

What you might look like if you still play WOW:

I still enjoy WOW, I only do high-end raiding 2 nights a week, it for sure is not as fun as it was in the early days.

I enjoy playing it casually. I like the LFR...I get more good groups than bad ones, so it isn't horrible. Can't wait for the expansion.

Came for the self-righteous anti-WoW replies and was not disappointed.

People get so uppity about how they don't use Facebook or play WoW or use Windows or whatever else. For many, they are the same people that play CoD year after year and still rail on people for playing WoW still. It would be amusing if it was not so completely sad.

Say what you will about the game, Blizzard make fantastic cinematics.

Been clean for almost 3 years now. Plan on staying that way.

Even If I don't enjoy the game, Blizzard always puts out Damn Good trailers. 10/10 would watch again.

Not going to lie - I was hoping to see the brothers hellscream carpet bombing pandaria with burning barrels of pitch. I'd resub for that.

hard to believe people actually still play wow.. isn't it like 10 years old now? i did enjoy it when i played it many years ago but did not enjoy wasting not only money on monthly fees but also insane amounts of wasted time.. and it wasn't like you could walk away like you would in a DM/CTF type pub game.. if you were on a quest/raid you were stuck with it until the end.. meh

Exactly what I was expecting too, pretty pathetic imo.

MoP was lots of fun and I am sure this will be no different. Already have my preorder in. It will be nice to come back after a pretty long break.

Good timing to finally sell my original wow collector edition!

You have an original? Unopened and/or including the game key that can be bound to another account? Now that's something....

The expansion is well timed,t hough. Enough time for those current players to finish up on Pandaria, enjoy Patch 6.0 prior to the actual start of the expansion and all its new features, and much more.

I actually started playing it a few weeks ago. Have reached level 33 and to be honest it is pretty boring. The lack of any interaction with the land and surroundings really is dull. Even in Morrowind you'd find stuff to investigate.

I dont see myself sticking with it. It is grind grind grind.

I've tried coming back a few times since I quit in 2006, but it just doesn't have the same as back in vanilla wow days.

That was one of my biggest complaints with Cata after they updated the old world. They made questing VERY linear. They may have made the need to travel back and forth to different zones for one single quest only to need to go back for a different single quest go away but that in turn made it very dull indeed. Not to mention you'd outlevel a zone before you were even half way done with their quest chains and they pointed you in the direction you needed to go and flagged the items/mobs you need to collect/kill.

Yeah plus it seems I have very little control over my characters development. In Morrowind/Diablo etc. I get to choose where my stats get boosted to create a specific method of play. Here there is just a load of stuff that seems to have little effect on playing style.

Not to mention the UI is a mess.

All seems very old fashioned and limited.

Oh yes and if you do go exploring you find you wander into another area thats designed for higher level players so you are effectively fenced in according to your level.

"Nope you can't go exploring! You have 18 levels and 56 repetitive quests to complete yet!"

Been playing recently just messing around and questing.
Actually the other day I just flew around my main's starting zone, up felwood to darkshore and on to darnasuss, taking in the scenery and music.
In some ways WOW is the most beautiful and pleasant game I think I have ever played. Until I actually start playing it and I fall into the grind.
The most fun is PVP within PVE ganking and getting ganked.
Still don't have MoP and probably wont get this though.
