I have been poking around for a KVM that will support dual monitors. The only one that looked good was from StarTech. The way the wording is on the description leads me to believe that it will support one computer per screen. Meaning if I had two machines hooked up, and two screen there would be one machine for each screen simultaneously.

I am looking for a KVM that will support dual monitors in the traditional sense. Meaning, when I switch to one machine or the other, the selected machine will come up on both screens. Does anyone know of a KVM that does this? One machine will be my gaming rig, the other will be my work laptop. So a KVM with minimal to no input lag would be best. Thanks!

The one you linked should do what you are asking for by that second bullet in the picture as an FYI. But you can also check Aten out, I believe the CS1942 that I used to own will do what you are looking for:

It has pass-through USB as well for your mouse/keyboard. Not sure about input lag numbers though.

Here is a VGA version that works similarly:

And DVI:

No the StarTech seems to be what you are looking for. Hook up both computers to it and both monitors. Press switch 1 (PC) to have both monitors work with the PC. Press switch 2 (laptop) to have both monitors work with the laptop. The only problem I'm seeing is most laptops only have 1 DVI out and I don't see a HDMI or VGA in on the switch, tho you could use some kind of HDMI to DVI converter I suppose.

I have a docking station for my laptop, so the adapter part is easy enough.
