Dice has revealed that the next Battlefield 4 update, due out next month, will address core gameplay improvements by giving players a varied field of options to see on the battle screen while cleaning up the clutter.

Still bug fixing I see. How long has it been out now? How's it feel to pay for a game only to find that you are beta testers?

Are they going to make it to where bullets actually kill the people you are shooting at? That would be nice.

I just started playing it this Spring and it runs great, I don't notice the bugs like I did with BF3. Still, I hope DICE doesn't ruin the game with a patch that nerfs everything in BF4.

I mean, steam does it too. They just have the curtesy to remind us we're paying for Beta testing XD

They already dialed back the power of a lot of the weapons you just joined way to late and don't know how they use to be.

At launch the game wasn't terrible for me, but it did crash often enough. After 300 hrs in May or so I stopped playing and came back recently...

Rubber banding is back for me, worse than @ launch. Tried it on 2 different pcs, checked out my router etc and still worse than ever. I love the game and gun/armor play but srsly being a beta tester isn't a joke for me anymore. They should do something special for the final DLC in Nov/Dec. Something no one would see coming. My 2c

I'm a total BF4 whore, I love it to death. By far my favorite FPS. Been playing since day 1 and I gotta say every patch has been one the game needed, any weapon adjustments they made were the right call. I'm no fan boy, and am critical of the things they have done wrong but all and all I believe that dice is fucking amazing.

I only have China Rising but so far I like the maps a lot better on BF3 (I have premium).

How have the maps been in other expansion packs of BF4 compared to the ones in BF3?

It seems with this game, once Dice has squashed a bug, another pops up. This last update released in July, has caused performance issues with Crossfire users. Hopefully, this new patch will clean that issue up along with others so that it won't be so glitchy and fussy when playing.

Also, the memory leak is back for people that play with WIndows 8.1 and run and AMD card. It craps out after a few hours of play and I have to reboot.

I think a lot of the bugs are due to the Frostbite Engine itself. Seeing that EA will be putting multiple games on this engine, they really need to fix all the issues ASAP.

I tried BF4 now again after the beta. It has definately come backwards even from the beta. Horrible gameplay, many steps backwards from BF3. All maps are campers paradises and the game seems to encourage camping. Glitchy hit registering tops it off, constantly getting killed by bursts of fire instantly and yet your own shots won't kill so fast unless you make a headshot.

All the fire, particle effects etc. in the game give me a headache and make tracking other players more difficult. I'm really happy that they opened BF4 for free, now I know to definately skip buying it.

the next patch will be called Battlefeld 5 and they'll charge you money to beta test it

On the other hand, you would be complaining if there were no continuously forthcoming changes and fixes.

It'll be called Battlefront, but sign me up. Havent had problems with BF4 since a month after it launched. It's had it's problems but it's decent now. Changes coming from CTE in September are also looking good.

Some of the complaints are justified, some complaints are from casuals that just suck at the game and don't want to accept that there's a learning curve, but the people that have never played the game jumping on the hate bandwagon like they have any clue what's going on are pretty worthless.

Learning curve? There is no learning curve. Dark Souls has a learning curve.

IMO BF4 was leagues better than BF3. Is it better than BC2? That's debatable.

Was the launch a rush against COD and thus not finished? Yes. Was "next gen" thinking in BF4? Not really since the netcode was optimized for craptastic consoles.

Are they fixing that now? Yes. Will it bring back gamers? That's debatable.

You guys get glitchy textures in this game? On some maps I get flickering on surfaces.

R9 with the latest beta driver.
