Does anyone have any advice on how to create your own posters for your media on a HTPC?

It looks like the ideal dimensions are about 667x1000. I've been taking screenshots for TV Episodes or special events, but they are coming out as 1920x1080 and therefore being cutoff when displayed in XBMC.

Can anyone recommend a workaround or software that I should be using?

Thanks!

maybe try using mediabrowser, it may download all the metadata you're looking for.

Want to stick to XBMC....I just migrated from Mediabrowser....

Mediabrowser just seemed to lag whne loading everytime I booted.

I'm looking to use custom art from screen shots...any other suggestions? Do I just need to use some type of image program and crop to the right dimension? If so, do you have a suggestion for a program?

Why not use a metadata manager, like Media Center Master? Install, et it for XBMC. It will automatically download all artwork and metadata for your media, done. You can even set the size for all artwork.

I found an article once, recently, that showed how you can manually grab this info from IMDB. However, I can't seem to find the article again now.
