Wish I'd done two of these for $900+tax instead of a 295x2 for $1500

Looks like the 290x prices are finally dropping some. Noticed the MSI 290x for $419 over the weekend. Might be time to upgrade my 5850 here soon.
 
its been dropping, I got a double D xfx 290x custom cooler on ebay for 350 a month ago. I was also able to register for life time warranty with xfx.
 
I was getting excited until I saw the name.
I once had a Visiontek card with 'lifetime warranty'.
The bearing in the cooling fan went bad and the 'new' Visiontek said they had no obligation to the 'old' Visiontek.
I haven't bought another product from them since.
I'll skip this one as well./
 
I remember the real old days when Visiontek was among the best in the business.

Anyone know if this uses Hynix RAM?
