Watch Dogs

It's not 1:1, go to YouTube and there are some videos comparing Chicago to Watch_Dogs. Still pretty damn impressive.

how accurate was Watch Dogs depiction of the city of Chicago in terms of actual geography?...I know they were missing a bunch of real world places like Soldier Field, O'Hare airport etc
My brother lives in Chicago, he was really disappointed by how inaccurate it is. He said "The Loop" part of the city was fairly accurate, but nothing else.

Fixer's become a bit more PITA if you do the fixer contracts. Don't get me wrong or anything I initially played the game on the hardest difficulty and didn't find it that hard, except the last few missions when CTos gets hacked by that ex partner with the shot leg you're after, the cops are a bitch to lose.

I found those last few missions annoying but not difficult...I just used the GPS waypoint to guide me and slowed down when reaching those hackable areas with steam pipes etc...I found some of the earlier Fixer contracts more difficult

Finished Watch Dogs today and gotta say I was pretty impressed with the whole game. Graphics were gorgeous at High and Ultra settings. Gameplay and story were pretty great overall. Thanks UBI.

Did you like the main protagonist? Just wondering. ;)

I said screw it, and replaced my xfire 6950's with a 290 that is running at 290X speeds and an SSD. Should be a MUCH more enjoyable game now...

Watch Dogs enhanced graphics mod gets a final release

TheWorse has released a "finished" 1.0 version of the mod that he believes optimises the enhanced graphics to capture the happiest medium between looking good and playing well..."I did my best to improve graphics and performance as much as I could without degrading the quality," TheWorse explained on his official site, where you can download the mod...

Oh, you mean the mystery patch we were promised some time last month...you know within about 2 weeks.

nope nope nope nope nope. 290x lighting's in crossfire on AND off still runs like crap. I also have 240 pro's in raid 0.

Is there an easy way to try out that mod and remove it if you don't like it? Earlier versions weren't easy to remove.

looking at that video of the 'final' 1.0 release I still don't think it looks as good as the old E3 video nor does it look better then the mod I used to play the game (SweetFX with the GTA IV Enhanced preset)

Holy shit they still haven't released that patch? I was going to re-install because I assumed they had already patched the game up but damn I might have to wait now. If they even release the performance patch at all.

That's the one

Yup.. Still nothing.. It's the same stuttering mess it was at launch.. No patches except that minor one that fixed corrupt saved games. Ubisoft aren't ever getting my money until they can prove again they know how to release stable, and well performing PC games that aren't platformers.

that first patch was a major one...but it didn't fix the stuttering...nothing since then...I finished the game, got used to the stuttering and still enjoyed it overall but Ubisoft really needs to release another major patch soon before people give up on the game...or at least update people on the status of it

The thing that I enjoy about the open world games are the police car chases and I lose control of my car every time the game stutters, just kills it for me.

I've given up on this magical patch. I don't think it exists.
It never came for AC3 or AC4 either. There were methods to make both of those perform better, but they were all community solutions.

I finally got the game for a price I can live with. But anyways the stuttering everyone is talking about makes sense to me. Its rediculously horrendous. For me its like the game pauses and skips and pauses and skips when I'm driving intense. The game is beautiful but not what I had imagined. I know it sounds weird but the game looks "cartoony" ish. I will have to try out that a E3 graphics patch.

The mods improve the graphics drastically and the impact on performance is null compared to what we are experiencing now. What sucks is I get into the game, playing somekind of a mission and then the game crashes on me.

I have a new computer on its way with a 4690k, Nvidia gtx 780 3 gb, 8 gb ram. Will this computer run Watch Dogs without any noticeable stuttering at high settings and 1080p? Or is this a game that stutters on all machines, regardless of horsepower, due to poor coding?

Watch Dogs came for free with the computer purchase, by the way...

Yeah I have been waiting to reinstall to play the game with out the stutter, it drives me crazy. At this point in time with the game having been out as long as it has I doubt they are going to do any more patchig on it honestly. Which means I wont be playing it anytime soon -- which also is apparently not that big of deal according to what opinions are that the game is mediocre at best and was an over hyped generic, and less interesting GTA wannabe.

So for shits and giggles I got this for my PS4 as well. Holy what a difference between PS4 at 1080p and PC at 2304x1440. Im using a Sony FW900 which kicks ass btw. The Graphics on the PS4 have so many jaggies compared to that of ziltch thats on the PC which I have everything turned up except for motion blur. The PS4 version seems alot brighter but Im sure its because of my Sharp 32" LCD TV. I will continue playing on the PC version and my wife will play the PS4 version.

I'm sure Ubisoft will release another patch...I can only imagine the condition the game was in prior to the 6 month delay

Watch_Dogs on PS4 runs at 900p native, 1080p upscaled.

According to ubi it runs at 900p30, with equivalent to "High" PC settings.
I don't believe that last part for a second.

The console version probably uses FXAA which explains the jaggies.

Yep, having the same problem. Hopefully there will be a patch soon.

Here is everything you need to know about the patch statement

Recently, we optimized some of the performance issues

I'm not even bothering to see the results. Everything they do is half way done and I'm over Ubisoft..
