New Fortnite Trailer

I had a glimmer of hopes for this game but the gameplay I just saw in that video to me looked very boring. :confused:
 
I was pretty sure it was dead, Epic having handed it off to someone else.

Got to say, I think the game doesn't look bad, but definitely is not what I was expecting, and probably not something I would be interested in.
 
I think this could be a great time with friends. The fact it is F2P scares me but I'll try it.
 
Is there any reason to be smart building a fort during the day when it seems you'll just be button mashing in a field at night?

To set traps and protect your core (whatever it's called). I would imagine you'd lose quickly if you didn't have anything around it.
 
I don't care WHAT the rest of you say, I want to play this. I want to play this NOW.

Model wise? yes.

Play wise, it looks like co-op orcs must die where you also build the dungeon/castle.

So like a team fortress, orcs must die, minecraft lite mashup.

Sometimes when you combine lots of things you just get a mush that is an unpleasant gray-brown color rather than something awesome.

The F2P model bothers me for this. I suspect you will be buying traps and whatnot, so it'll basically be button smashing waves of enemies till you die without coughing up money.
 
I get turned off as soon as I see Characters moon-walking all over the place.

Pretty much what I was thinking, a mash up of TF2 and OMD
 
Watched it for 30 seconds and almost died of boredom. This industry is trying really hard to not get any of my money.
 
Portal meets TF2. No wonder he left the company. He has official run out of idea's.
 
I like the premise, but the cartoon style and campy characters/enemies ruins the fear and anxiety for me. Even Minecraft, with its lego like style, manages to remain creepy at night.(That and you are always afraid of all your gear getting destroyed) It is hard to judge without playing it first, but my initial impression is that it would be like a my little pony zombie game with candy power ups.
