Well, I bit. We'll see if my faith in dell outlet holds. I've had good luck with them in the past.
 
Sucky thing is, even though it's one day shipping, my order won't ship until 7/7 :(
 
How does the i3 compare to the Atom? I assume it is quite a bit faster...
 
Poking around a few reviews, I read that the i3 was not that much faster than the Atom, at least not enough to justify the way higher price. The i5, on the other hand, was said to be significantly faster.

The i5 is apparently the exact same silicone except with turbo boost enabled.
 
The i3 haswell is significantly faster than the atom z series in these venues. It's not even a comparison.

I have an Atom tablet and an i5 tablet and it is night and day difference...

a lot of that has to do with the solid state storage speed. The drives in the i series are significantly faster than the stuff used in the Atom series
