FIFA 2014 World Cup DLC Question?

So I got FIFA14 for an xmas gift last year (For my PS4) and decided to open it. Being that I am not a big soccer fan, but enjoy playing the world cup matches every few years, I was pleased to see the DLC addon for Fifa14. Is there a way for me to just play in the tournament as say England or Team USA? I seem to be stumbling a bit at locating this feature. I do see this Ultimate Team thing to where you can do a dream team per se, but not playing as an actual nation...only in a friendly.

Unless they changed it, the only free addition to fifa 14 was the ultimate team World Cup add on. There is an independent World Cup 2014 game for 360 and ps3.

They barely add anything each year, and they locked out the World Cup in this years Fifa ?

I'm pretty sure you could just create the World Cup as a tournament. I haven't really looked into it, but it looked like you could do that there. Wouldn't be official, but it would get the job done.

I found a great mod that gives you the World Cup from ModdingWay. If they can do it, EA could of gotten off their lazy asses and done it. I would of forked over $10 for it, just like they did with the UEFA tourney back in 2012.

I will wait until the worldcup hype has died down and pick it up for 50% off or more.

No I don't. The ModdingWay World Cup Mod plays the entire tourney. I can also do Road to the World Cup to qualify my team. The mod also contains all the graphics from the 2014 PS3/XB360 version.
