The new Zyxel USG's are here

The prices are real. Glad I didn't wait 6 months ago for the new series and picked up the USG 50 when it was on sale for $189.

Not really impressed spec wise since better gear for much cheaper has come out in the past 2 years, but hey no doubt they'll lower prices just like they did before.

cool, these units seem to be bulletproof. i have a few that have run for about 2 years now without a sweat.

that wireless controller looks interesting, however not sure how good zyxel wifi is.

Wow. The new prices are way more then the current generations. I really like the USG 50 still.

when are these supposed to be available? like to grab a USG60, can't seem to find much info though.

The pricing is based on the bundle with all services licensed. The base hardware-only skus will be closer to existing series pricing.

MSRPs for the USG Performance series range from $420 for the entry-level USG40 to $800 for the wireless-enabled USG60W. This pricing includes 1 year licenses of security services including AV, IDP, Anti-Spam, Content Filtering. This series is also available without licensing.

Thanks for catching that for me.

I'm having a terrible time with my USG100-Plus and have been getting amateur hour level support. I RMA'd it once. Had problems with my replacement, RMA'd again and just got my original unit back!

Are you talking to them on the phone or sending e-mails.

My experiences with communication via e-mail have not been good.

Phone support was excellent thou....

Both, maybe I'll call again today. I'll just plan out the time to sit on hold for half an hour.

1/2 hour? Never had to sit on the horn for that long... 15min is the max for me. a few times I called I got right to someone in a hurry.
