Man, that is Filthy cheap, and Crucial drives have always been solid for me.

512gb deal is dead. Had one in my cart, had to go to a meeting came back and they are gone :p

Yeah its a new model, just announced at computex I think. Anandtech has reviews for them.

I got the 256GB model earlier this morning for $86 using the $15 off promo code and free shipping with shoprunner.
put your email here:
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/sectors/campaigns/include/events/2014/TD_Discount/index.asp

When you get the code in your email, change the .ca domain to .com
then go to that address. Code will be active on Tigerdirect.com

Then, add a $1 filler item that has shoprunner like this cable

Amazon doesn't have the $25 promo code, but then you get to cut newegg out..

Yeah I bought the 512GB version this morning from NE. I'm pretty sure I got the last one because I was looking at this and had to run some errands in the morning and came back about an hour later and it was showing out of stock when I would just pull it up normally, but I still had my other page up and I was able to order through that and what do you know it authenticated it, payment got taken out, and now it's already in the mail heading my way lol. But, it's nice to see that you can get the 512GB at TD still.

I was planning on purchasing the 500GB EVO for my next build but I decided to bite on this deal instead because I just don't see the 500GB EVO dropping down to $200 anytime soon. On top of that the 512GB MX100 holds its own against the EVO.

Thanks op!! Snagged a 512. Had to chat with Egg CS to get the 2.99 shipping refund. Shoprunner was not on checkout options for 512 version. They promised to refund shipping once item was invoiced. Currently on 3-5 day backorder. (since I have shoprunner, I expect them to honor free shipping) CS was nice about it and was done in 3 minutes.

199 at Amazon too now.

edit - seems Amazon has price matched everyone else on all 3 capacities.

Thanks! I purchased the 256GB to replace my 128GB boot drive in my home computer. I just do not want to redo the home computer from scratch, to many games and programs would need to be reinstalled. (Even though they are on the 2TB Seagate Hard drive.)

Shoot, I have shop runner and had to pay 2.99 too. I didn't think about contacting them about it though. Mine has already shipped and will be here sometime next week. Probably too late to ask for a refund though.

wait these have built in hardware AES encryption?

do all SSD in this class have that feature because that is kind of neat, used to be really expensive to get a drive with that

256gb is $100 shipped directly from amazon.com (but it is backordered at this point)

Dont know if anyone is still interested but the 512 is back a $199 I just ordered one. As of 12:16am EST it looks like they still have stock. Just FYI.

I got two from two different places. One made in Singapore (first order), other one is made in China. Any insight on potential differences? I'm obviously concerned about reliability and performance...

Edit: All reviews I could find show Singapore drives. Quite possibly the first batches arrived from there, due to shorter lead times but still curious to hear peoples' experiences in terms of Singapore vs China... What drive did you guys get?

Hell, iPad's and iPhones are made in China. You don't see those failing. Want it cheap? Made in China.

Got mine yesterday, going to be installing it today. (Already cloned it over.) 256GB version but unlike the hard drives, I have a feeling the place the SSD is made will not be as big a deal, I hope.
