I love relaxing and swinging around in an open world. It looks like they took the web swinging back to a respectable style. I'm just wondering how the quality of the PC version is gonna be before I spend money on it. Did anyone buy the first Amazing Spider-Man game on Steam? Was it a buggy console port or was it actually pretty decent? I wanna get excited for the game but I'm worried about the quality of the PC version. Any thoughts or experiences with the first game on PC?

Spiderman games are my guilty pleasure.

I stopped playing them after Spiderman 2: The Movie, however. Devs went back to swinging from a random web in the sky. Ruined the games for me, really.

I am excited for the new game because they are bringing back the webs connecting to objects/buildings. :D

I didn't play the first one, but I'm interested. Like you said it's fun to swing around and beat up guys. Hopefully this game will be a 7 out of 10.

Web of Shadows is a flawed game. But the flaws aren't showstopping. The combat is pretty amazing and captures comic book Spidey better than any other Spider-man game I've played. And while the execution isn't THE BEST, the symbiote infected city is a pretty cool setup to play in. I'd recommend it. I'm sure it's cheap, nowadays.

Swinging is what I enjoy the most in a Spider-Man game. I do the main story to level up the swinging if I have to, but there's something so relaxing to just put on music and swing around the city. I'm really hoping the web swinging in the new game is enjoyable.

I wish I could get Web of Shadows on Steam because I heard the web swinging in it was decent.

Yeah swinging around is a blast! I hope they bring back some of the great side quests like delivering pizzas - no joke. The side quests really brought the game together (at least in first movie based games)

I was about to pull the trigger on the PS4 version (bigger TV) until I saw the $60 price tag. It's $40 on Steam.

Yea I just hope we get a good version on PC. If we get a butchered 15 fps version I'm gonna cry.

You can preorder off of Gamefly using the code APR25OFF for 25% off. Bringing it down to 30 bucks. I'm just wondering if it gives you the preorder suits and stuff like that if you buy through Gamefly.

Seen this at Walmart for 59.00 PS4 I think the PS3 version was 10.00 cheaper..49.99

Won't pull the plug on it though been burned too many times by games that fall really short on the engaging list.

No blue-screening here yet.

It is definitely a port. I mean, how could they not have time to properly add control mapping into the final game? At least they tacked on mapping and graphical settings before you launch the game. Well, aside from the horrible menus and control mapping (shows an xbox controller when selected), the game has been performing pretty well and really looks great!

The gameplay has not disappointed me yet, and it has been getting better the more I play - through unlocks and upgrades. I feel that they captured the Spider-Man persona well. The environment to me is a little less 'real' then the original movie based games, but not necessarily in a bad way. I think Beenox wanted to have it feel more like the comics, rather than the movies.

Watched some streams last night. Gameplay at its core is all Arkham, but adapted for the Spiderman universe. Which is a good thing! Only problem I saw was that it looked like some of the mechanics were a little wonky or broken, but overall pretty fluid. Doesn't look like it's worth $40 to me, but I might pick it up if it goes on sale sometime this year.
