I ordered a Seasonic M12II from eBay. It was shipped with out the cables. I contacted him and he said he would see if the could find them. This was on Thursday and I responded saying if he doesn't find them I will file a claim as they are not an accessory and he has not responded since them. What are my chances of actually winning this? I kinda feel like eBay is just gonna blow it off but buying the cables is going to cost more than the PSU it's self so I really got shafted here if they don't take action.

EBay usually sides with the buyer. But their resolution usually is return the item back to him for a refund. So you will have to pay to send it back. Depending how much the cables cost it might not make sense to do that.

That's what happened to me once. I decided to keep the item and but the missing part myself. Item was $100 part was $20. I left him negative feedback.

Start the dispute now. He has had enough time to find cables. I agree, ebay almost always sides with the buyer. If you aren't sure what reason to pick on ebay, I think "item not as described" is a pretty good catch all reason to use.

If he didn't have a description that had said 'This does not come with cables' or something similar then he most likely shafted you deliberately. I've heard a few eBay stories but this sounds like the typical 'I only got half of what was advertised' so yes, file a complaint. Do it now then later since it can take a while to pursue & maybe next time the eBay seller will be less lazy & know what hes selling (if of course that is his reason..)

Yeah I just went ahead and filed a claim. The guy has litterally no negative feedback for 35 sold items so I don't know what's up. Each Seasonic replacement cable is about $10-12. I payed $42 for it shipped so it's pretty clear it's not worth buying the cables. I already ordered a new CX600 because I couldn't find a decent deal on another M12II 620. Hopefully this works out and I can just send the CX600 back. If not, I won't be waiting any longer to get my girlfriends PC going.
