$60/mth + tax for 7.5 gb data, 1100 min voice, unlimited text

Breakdown:

Nexus 5: T-Mobile 5gb, 100 minute plan ... $30/mth
Galaxy S3: AT&T Straight Talk 2.5 gb, 1000 minute plan ... $30/nth

Data speeds on TMo are sweet but I'm out of coverage territory 20% of the time, thus the straight talk plan plus the added phone minutes it offers.

Any of you finding yourself in a similar situation?

Kept it simple. $60/month for Verizon unlimited data and using Google Voice plus Groove IP for unlimited VOIP and SMS over data. Also have 450 backup Verizon minutes but haven't had to touch those due to great coverage.

Unlimited data for $60?

I have 2 different services but its because work pays for one, I have my personal one.

think he's talking about his grandfathered plan
right now, you can get the 2GB loyalty plan from Verizon for $60 (with subsidized phone).. but Verizon charges you data overages

@ $60, think about using AIO Wireless ($55 5GB data + unlimited talk/text)

you only get up to 8mbps @ LTE connection, and throttled to 128kbps after 5GB
don't have to swap sim cards

or keep your straight talk plan (thought it was only 30MB @ $30?), get a tablet on T-mobile LTE, pay $30 for 3GB of data

Total bill is actually a little under $60 total after taxes and fees but that's with corp discount. In retrospect, kicking myself for not getting another unlimited data only line for <$30 when it was doable.

What are new customers charged for unlimited data through Verizon?

Ooops you're right, 30 Mb.

if I were you, then I'll switch over to AIO for $55/month for 5GB @ 8mbit/s LTE speed.... (vs you paying $60 for 5.03GB and 1100 minutes)

not as fast as t-mobile's LTE, but at&t's network covers more when you need it

(I don't need it, so I'm sticking with t-mobile's truly unlimited)

I'm with Sprint the T-Mo, the only two companies who are currently staying net-neutral. I try to stay away from evil greedy corporations. Sprint's CEO Dan Hesse had said some stupid ass comments about not understanding net-neutrality late last year, which gave way for a PR storm reiterating Sprint's current net-neutral stance as voted on by the Sprint shareholders. This is the reason why I have one line on T-Mo; I was all prepared to go full T-Mo too.

Republic wireless, moto x, with $25 plan uses wifi then goes to sprint if not available, and H20 wireless $10 plan, using my own old 3GS that used to be AT&T (H20 uses AT&T's cell towers). With taxes, fees, etc, a little over $40 a month for both. Republic goes as cheap as $5 a month for wifi only.
