I got my corsair tx 650 on 4/16/2009 and today the my pc keep shutting off and rebooting. I bought a psu from best buy to test and the problem went away. Now I am still within the warrenty period of 5 years. I am debating should I do normal rma or express rma. If I do express, the psu should arrive before the 15 deadline return so I can return the best buy psu. Does anyone have experience with the corsair rma and express rma process? And do I need to send in my newegg receipt to prove it is still within the 5 years warranty?

I've used the standard corsair rma twice before. Both times took about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks from shipping out to getting replacements. I live in PA and had to send to CA though and I used standard UPS Ground. I did have to include my newegg receipts.

My last "express" RMA with them was rather slow. Took a little over a week to get the PSU.

For express, does that measn both me and corsair co-send at the same time?

I filled out the form for an express return for my H100 and got a H100i :) :) :) within a week. After I received it, I sent the old one back in the same day using the box the H100i came in. My CC never got charged and I was a happy camper. This was around Christmas time.

No.

You go on line and fill out the paperwork.
Once accepted, Corsair ships out your replacement, without first receiving yours.
You have "X" number of days to return the defective piece. I think Corsair allows two weeks to receive the defective piece back, starting the day the replacement ships to you.

Even from the east coast, UPS ground will have the piece back to them in 5 days. USPS Priority will be even faster.

It's a pretty typical Cross-ship policy.:D

What would be the cheapest method to ship the psu back to corsair?

You need to check with UPS and USPS.
You can get an estimate based on zip code to zip code on their respective sites.
UPS ground will be cheap but take up to a week, USPS Priority would be quicker bit a bit more.....but Corsair generally only wants the PSU back, not the cables, so you can probably use a large flat rate box...."if it fits, it ships".:D

I had an AX 850 go south and I used the large flate rate box. make sure you get tracking/signature regardless of who you use. Signature will cost a little bit, but you know someone received it.
