Anyone interested in becoming an alpha tester for Epic's Fortnite should hustle on over to this page to sign up!

Do you enjoy smashing and breaking things with blunt objects? What about building a towering fort surrounded by death traps for your enemies? Maybe you like taking a more direct approach and simply shoot monsters in the face. If any of these apply to you, we think you should sign up for a chance to play in the Fortnite Alpha.

I've been interested in this game for so long. I'm worried though because it look's like I'm not a gamer because the majority of my game time is DotA 2 which isn't listed :(

They are probably curious to see how many people are actually interested in this game.

So far what little has been released on the game looks great, however, after reading the Alpha registration questions I am a little concerned. Especially with the questions on micro-transactions, league of legends, and free-to-play.

Looks like I'll have to skip this one due to motion sickness/headaches. They can't seem to figure out how to get the camera to move smoothly when the player is moving. As soon as the player runs, the camera appears to be controlled by a monkey on cocaine.

That video is of someone playing gears of war. The audio is the only thing relevant to Fortnite.

Wanted: Free testers. No money or nothing for you, thanks. Back in the day they actually had to pay guys to test..no more..

At least they are not asking $99 to test like Galactic Civilizations 3 or Planetary Annihilation. Your feed back is valuable :)

Nothing like joining an Alpha or beta that usually ruins a perfectly good gaming experience.

Going off the questions it look like they are still trying to decide whether this will be F2P or not.

Survival horror with a pre teen demographic. What a waste,

One of the comments from the gameplay video. Can't say I disagree. I don't mind the cartoony look but they are clearly going for the younger-I-have-mommy's-cash-to-burn crowd...you know, the ones that eat up microtransactions and DLC like candy.

Epic has said there are three campaigns at present, each coming in at 10, 20 and 50 hours in length. Each stage within campaigns is procedurally-generated with destructible elements, and see players working together to scavenge for crafting material while building their forts before the storm comes at nightfall. Teams will only survive to see the next day if they manage to close the portal gates, and come morning they'll have to repair whatever damage has been done by the fight.
