Today at my local Target

at first glance I thought those were PS2s...

recent ps4 price rise in canada hurt them a lot north of the border. I see them in stock everywhere

But $449 for the XB1 and Titanfall is a pretty good deal, I would say.

I get the hardware sales numbers, but did that article just state that Titanfall is "falling to more established franchises," because it sold 580,521 copies in just the US... but Second Son sold 695,304 in both the US and Europe, and the PS4 version of Ground Zeroes sold 433,118 globally?

Either way the reduced price, and included game, is a really good deal, IMO.

Yes but Infamous came out the 21st (March) in the US, Ground Zeroes came out the 27th where as Titanfall came out the 11st. Also, AFAIK, that number also includes PC sales for Titanfall. Infamous is PS4 only and GZ is PS4/PS3. So, in that time frame and available audience I believe they are selling better. I think the main point of the article is to show the increase in sales for the XB1 is only temporarily, and that the PS4 is still increasing.

Yep. Talked to a guy I know who works at a retailer and he said console sales came to a halt and games sales have bottomed out. At $78 for a new PS4 game.....

Since release I've seen PS4s in stock exactly twice at various stores. Mind you I haven't looked constantly but that's just what I've noticed. I've seen XB1s in stock consistently since mid-December. Not that any of that means anything on it's own really.

Haven't seen any ps4 in stock where I live. They'll do fine.

Didn't say they weren't doing fine just observing that there is a change in movement of stock.

See the same thing at Walmart and best buy too. Glad their moving units I buy every system at launch but jumped on that drop with titan fall and bought my son his own for his birthday. Paid 437.59 for his with titamfall pretty good deal and bound to move units.

Yup agree with ya.

But I guess we will see after the Titanfall hype is done. IE probably this month. I want to see the sales after March and forward.

I own both systems and they're both great, I just prefer multi plat on the PS4 as it runs better.

Price point is the issue. Xbox did a lot of work branding itself with the 360 and making it associate "console" gaming as a broad statement with it. Microsoft is smart to let retailers drop the price and boost sales. Hopefully a more permanent price drop is in the cards.

Titanfall is a highly accessible game that almost anyone can get into and do well in. It doesn't have any steep learning curves at all and is built to be an arcade shooter like UT2K4. You can get in and out of it easily and the time sinks are totally elective. Its not hard to understand why its moving systems.

Second son is good but pretty vapid in terms of content. Once you beat it you really have little reason to replay it other than pretty graphics. Which brings me to my next point .. games not graphics , will be the major factor in who stays in the number spot this generation. Only people on forums like this are even arguing graphics , everyone else is just playing whatever they want. To the majority of 360 gamers who used it as an exclusive gaming platform the Xbox One is still a leap beyond what the 360 could accomplish. This will be painfully evident when Titanfall releases on the 360 at below HD resolution running 30 fps at best..

But the Xbone release is plagued by slowdowns at 792p, ... You guys really have yourselves convinced that its a good platform, for a good price...

The pc version slows down on maxed out machines. It's the game code.

Both my local Target and Walmart were the same over the weekend. No XB1, but a couple PS4's sitting there.

It's hit and miss around here. Some times there are shelves full of PS4's, other times they are empty. There are always One's in stock.

One is close to PS4 in sales in the US.

When I worked unloading trucks for 13 years straight at walley world in the last year theft was really high in our store so we had to double check out of like 4,000+ items that came off the truck to see if they made it to the store. That is why I went to inventory which is a total pain currently since it's ALL MESSED UP and no room for merch....

Walmart needs to be like microcenter and start selling PC parts if they want to get serious....

I believe Sony recently got a major shipment out in both brick and mortar and online distributors. Amazon got a huge shipment recently, I'm not at all surprised that One is doing well this month. They will win the March NPD, there were serious sales happening along with Titanfall being released. Even if Sony could have shipped more units I doubt it would win the month.

If Microsoft does not sale as many consoles as Sony did in March then I honestly wouldn't even know what to say. AAFES has gotten dozens of shipments over here in Korea and they just now finally stopped selling out. I have yet to see the PS4 over here (even on the economy) even though it has been released.

Do you live in Korea??

I wouldn't mind living in Asia if I had a good job over there.. I'd love to see all the tech. Oh, and the good food :D.

Judging by the AAFES I would say air force. Which is a great way to get to Korea or Las Vegas or Minot or Germany or Alaska seems like all my AF buddies are stuck in those places.

There's more than just Air Force stationed in Korea ;). Regardless, if he's shopping at a PX, he's gotta be military of some sort. I wouldn't have figured Korea would be getting too many consoles though. I tried for months to get either at the PX at Ft. Drum and they we're getting so few in they didn't even have a spot on the shelf.

I really want a PS4, but with the exception of Child of Light there are no games out for the system that really intrigue me. Coupled with the still-absent DNLA streaming and the price increase here in Canada... pulled the e-brake.

Lots of stock in and around the GTA right now.

I'm Army, been here since December. I mentioned in another thread that they were just using the pallets they came on as "shelf space". They have plenty of Ones at Camp Casey, Camp Red Cloud and Camp Humphreys. No PS4s but they do have accessories now and games. From December through February they were constantly sold out of Ones within hours. They seem to be stable now though.

I went to Uijeongbu, Dongducheon and Yongson out in the economy and haven't seen a PS4 even though they had the spaces for it. I thought at least the eMart would have had them in stock. (PS4)

My local GameStop has had Xbox ones since release, they just now started having ps4s in stock regularly
