Today sees the launch of the world’s first 3D search engine by Squify.com. The new search engine is notable for a number of reasons. Not only are search results on Squify.com rendered in a dynamic 3D format, searches are not tracked to protect user privacy and a proportion of the advertising revenue is donated to good causes too. The creators are calling it “the search engine that gives back to society.”

Squify.com: search results are displayed in a clutter-free and visually appealing carousel, with images, videos and other relevant apps featured to create an interactive, exciting search experience.

I typed in "Google" and I only got 14 results back. Something tells me this isn't working quite right. The 3D view is also phenomenal...if you're 10 years old.

speaking as a 32 year old male that actually likes to get shit done on the PC when I'm using it. This is nothing but a novelty and a joke.

I don't want to spin rotate crap trying to find this or that. Just like when I want to watch a movie, I'm not going to pay 50% more for a 3D ticket that makes it harder to enjoy.

I really wish this 3D "everywhere" fad would die out --- my whole life is 3D currently, I don't need more of it.

Horrible idea.

As for using a search engine I would expect all my searches to be instant.
3d search = + wait time.

Jerry's right...why draw all the extra dimensional stuff when just text and hyperlinks would be faster.

"Behold yon miserable creature. That Point is a Being like ourselves, but confined to the non-dimensional Gulf. He is himself his own World, his own Universe; of any other than himself he can form no conception; he knows not Length, nor Breadth, nor Height, for he has had no experience of them; he has no cognizance even of the number Two; nor has he a thought of Plurality, for he is himself his One and All, being really Nothing. Yet mark his perfect self-contentment, and hence learn this lesson, that to be self-contented is to be vile and ignorant, and that to aspire is better than to be blindly and impotently happy." :p

Very cool! Once they improve the resolution of the screenshots of the links, I can definitely see myself using this. Very smart to allow users to read the contents from the screenshots of the actual links before clicking on them.

I think they're about 15 years too late to claim "first 3d search engine". Ever heard of Excite Extreme from back in the late 90s? :D

Now that's just weird.

Didn't someone else try this years ago?

It takes longer to get through the animation than I typically spend on an entire trip to Google. Why did anyone think this was a good idea?

Needs Chester V and Live Corp's magic! " Namaste!" lol
Food bar 8.0 etc etc

it's more of a pain in the ass to use than an "exciting user experience"
hahaha

gangbang photos
lesbian teens
extreme anal insertions

none were nearly as exciting in 3d search as i had wanted.
