It's hard to imagine a single game could boost sales like this but, I guess if you were going to buy the game anyway, this was essentially just a $59.99 price cut on the console.

The release of Titanfall boosted Xbox One sales by a whopping 96 per cent in the UK compared to the console's sales the previous week. The eye-catching £399 Xbox One Titanfall bundle, which includes a download token of the game, accounted for over 70 per cent of all Xbox One hardware sold last week.

I played this on a friends XBONE. it was actually pretty fun but I still won't be buying it for PC. It's the kind of game I'd play a bunch for a week or 2 then never touch again.

I was waiting for Titanfall before picking up an Xbox One (seems to be the current killer app, the launch titles didn't excite me too much). The Titanfall bundle is a hell of a deal, so count another sale to me.

Pretty, much It stopped being fun about last night. Was playing in a match with regen 5 guys... They ranked to 50, 5 times already. Those guys are just too good for me to relax and run-gun around.

Microsoft had sold one xBone in the UK and when the game shipped they sold another one. Percentages can often be very misleading...;)

The game has no single-play apparently, so that rules it out for me on the PC. Seriously, since the game is available on the PC, why should it necessarily stimulate xBone sales at all...? There's likely more to the story...

$60.00 off the retail price of the console is pretty good incentive (if you were waiting to buy an Xbox One and the game anyway.)

There is a campaign, it's just multiplayer based so depending on what team wins, the dialog changes.

It's the first game on the Xbox One to be interesting. So it's push the people over on that were on the fence.

The game is a console shooter much like COD. It's "funner" on a console for some people. While battlefield is a terrible console experience because it was built with PC's first. There is room for both these markets to exist.

I'm trying to hold off for a few more months before I get the xbox one as the only game I want to play on it right now is titanfall but it's so damn hard.

While it does look better on the PS4 then the Xbox 1, that's irrelevant. It looks way way better on the PC on 3 screens.

However I would like the crossfire issues fixed. ><

Lol... places my PC copy on top of the PS4.. see looks better ON the PS4 muahaha

Who cares about the percentage? How many units did they sell. If they sold 100 Xbones then a %96 increase is still shit.

in before some 5 year old calls it an xbone or some other loser brags he only plays games on a pc..

That very week PS4 sales saw an increase by 72% in the UK because a new shipment of PS4s arrived and proceeded to sell out in a matter of days, as usual around the world. When Wind Waker HD came to the WiiU its sales were bumped by 685% in the UK, and when MGS4 was released in Japan PS3 sales reached 700% compared to the week before.

That and the UK pricecuts on Xbox One units (£299 from one retailer now) are why those of us with the real data don't think much of that 96% boost, especially when the other piece of PR was an peculiar statement that "hundreds of thousands of people are playing Titanfall".

I'm not sure if you are serious or not. I am going to assume that you are and to commend you on a fairly decent troll.

I'm actually stunned that on a single 290X i can play in 3 screen mode with the settings (nearly) capped out. I literally assumed it wouldn't work. It sure is a fun game. I like the instant re-spawn the best. Going back to my old FPS's its the 1st thing I notice. Not the jumping not the mecs. The instant respawn. Weird hu?

Most over hyped game so far. It's a pretty good multiplayer game, but in the end it's just a glorified death match with giant mechs that you can use. Easily get bored with it in 2 weeks.
