Playing Titanfall with college basketball snapped. Between Championship week + NCAA tourny, I think I'll be going through a couple generations of pilots.

I dont find it that impressive considering TVs could do this with PIP a long time ago. All thats added was universal control.

Personally, I find that cool, enjoy. :D Pip blocks things or covers up things you are trying to do, this does not.

Yeah, this is better than all the PIP implementations I've seen on TVs. The box either covers something up (although on my TV you can move it to other corners), or they'll do a 50/50 split screen, so you're left with less real-estate for the main thing you're looking to do. I like how the Xbox One does snap.

Not sure how you wana play a fast-paced game while watching TV. I personally couldn't and wouldn't want to do both at the same time.

I use a 22" LCD for casual TV watching, it uses very little power and space.
Much better than PiP.

Titanfall is the killer game for the Xbox One and its doing well for MS and moving systems off the shelf but its going to take many more killer games like that to keep the pace going.

Microsoft needs to keep patching/updating the features on the Xbox One and smooth out the problems which I won't bother listing here but there are many. They also need to lower the price to $400 ASAP. The price is the biggest reason I get from those friends of mine who won't buy it and frankly I can't blame them.

But despite all of that its the weaker system and the only thing that will save it is if MS picks the right games to back and tries to nail down more exclusive titles like Titanfall.

Titanfall is amazing.... but it's not an exclusive all around which I think won't make it as much of a system seller. I've been playing it on PC and I love it. MS really needs a AAA Xbox One only title.

I only have myself to blame as I was an early adopter, but after finishing Dead Rising 3 the XO has been gathering dust.

Human factors wise mixing both audios together is a poor implementation. Does Snap allow for individual volume control? What i would like to see is microsoft allow either main screen or snapped screen to output via an xbone headset and the other through your HDMI

Its good for between matches.
Exactly. It takes upward of 90 seconds for a new map to get going. It's also nice to hear the audio to keep updated while playing. I just don't know about having the game screen cut down with it snapped to the side. Is it possible to hide the video feed from the TV while still having the audio going?

Titanfall cannot be considered a Killer game for Xbox One, it's available on PC.... We'll see what this weeks numbers show soon enough... Besides a lot of Wii U games let you play off screen so you can have your game on the controller while the basketball game in on the main screen....

But it can and is in fact the reason many people bought an Xbox One. Most people do not have gaming PC's that are coming from the Xbox 360 and Titanfall was the big reason for many to switch. Titanfall is a system seller even if it isn't exclusive and having it not be on the PS4 was one of the smartest decisions Microsoft has made in ages. If it was on the PS4 then people would likely be getting it for the PS4 due to the superior hardware but no one seems to be complaining about the graphics for now except bitter gamers who don't have a gaming PC or an Xbox One. Has anyone even seen an Xbox 360 screenshot or trailer for Titanfall? its almost certainly going to be a mega gimped version..

Why are you dragging Wii-U into this discussion? This has nothing to do with Nintendo at all. I love my Wii-U but its a basically a dead system , Nintendo is ditching it and moving on. Seeing it for sale refurbished for $200 should tell you were Nintendo is at. The only reason to own a Wii-U is for first party exclusive titles but I bet at E3 we won't see but a handful of first party titles signaling an end of a system that has sold worse than the Gamecube. I wouldn't recommend the Wii-U to anyone but kids/family friendly entertainment and long time Nintendo fans who still love their exclusive first party titles.

This is a feature that is pointless in most of the world. It's great if it can be used but more and more of us don't have anything to pass through the xb1 hdmi.

I have a house full of newer HDTV's and I don't think a single one has pip.
Crap, I'm hoping the next 40'' Samsung LED tv I put in my room will have pip, I'm looking at the higher end series too 63xx/65xx.

Can anyone confirm if those have pip?

Btw, I am patiently waiting for Forza 6, that game will probably be like the gt2/gt3/forza 4 era of racing for me. I recently broke down and bought GT6, its ok.... at least better than GT5!

90 seconds wow -- I guess browsing to the exact server I feel like playing in and loading in about 20 seconds for BF4 has me spoiled on PC.

I'd probably fall asleep if I had to stare that long at a loading screen.

You could play video games and watch live TV PIP years ago?

Explain.

Found this thread on avs

Next forza looks to be a new horizon which is awesome. I didn't like gt5 at all never mind it had the worst audio. My hopes on PlayStation is drive club if it ever comes out.

Titanfall is laggy as all hell on my Xbox One. Its fun but maybe I should have got it on PC.

I have not noticed it being laggy at all how's your internet and when was the last time you restarted the Xbox. Press and hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds it shuts down and clears the cache.

Pc isn't perfect either crossfire and vsync has issues and some have said similar with sli.

And yes I'm playing it on both, yes I bought 2 copies. Yes I really like this game

100mbps connection. It is not running at 60fps, and very rarely is it ever 60fps unless im looking at nothing. The PC version ran a hell of a lot better for me during beta.

The game feels like its 30-45fps average more than anything, and in last titan standing is even worse.

Oh and for some odd reason the Xbox One version of Titanfall gives me WORSE ping than on the PC version which gave me significantly better. Doens't make sense considering both should be from the same Azure servers?

If anything this game shows how underpowered the system really is. The game is fun, but let's all realize that this game IS NOT a showcase of the Xbox One's strength.

If anything, the rate that the Xbone 1 selling at, shows the utter weakness of the MS platform... $500 for a system that under powered compared to a PS4 and is not IN MY OPINION significantly stronger than a Wii U in the graphics dept to warrant $500...

The Wii U is at $300 the refurb is 33% off, what exactly is out of line about that?

The XO at $100 more is selling around equal to the PS4 in the US. That shows the strength of the platform.

The Wii U is barely equal to the 360 and PS3 in terms of hardware...

not to thread crap but seeing as we're in H, i would never consider getting an fps on a console. half of the people in this thread alone have a bad ass rig better than mine, 2600k/gtx 660/ 840 pro 256gb.

i do like the idea of watching sports/tv while playing on the same screen.

He doesn't even have an xone and generally just talks out of his ass in regards to the xone.

They have pip however the implementation sucks and requires way too many button presses. Just like game mode requires too many button presses.

Source: I have a 6300 Samsung.

Older TVs did it but i think that feature has been taken out of most TVs by now. I really dont understand why though? Its a simple feature and we have more channels than we ever did back then but i suppose DVR boxes killed it.

Yeah because every console gamer has a gaming PC....

I don't see how people still say the xbone cost to much. You cannot build a comparable PC for the same price and get the same features. The prices is fine. So what if ps4 is more powerful? Its like android vs apple. People like a ecosystem and stick to what they like

People don't like paying more for less. I don't think this is Android vs Apple.

So what you are saying then is I should not be buying a PS4, right? After all, I would definitely be getting less for my money. :p Oh, and no, I do not own a PS4 but I do own a Xbox one. ;)
