I am looking at building a Solaris ZFS machine to play around with, but was having some trouble figuring out supported hardware. I was thinking about the SuperMicro X10sl7 (product page, X10sl7 review). But after looking at the Supermicro OS compatibility list and the
Solaris compatibility list it looks like it is not supported.
Is that true? I am not as familiar with the Solaris compatibility lists so I dont know if the list is complete in terms of items being covered. From searching online I have found others that seem to have had Supermicro boards supported under Solaris that are not on Supermicros list for Solaris support.
Thanks. (Let me know if this should be posted to another thread.)
