I recently picked up an Asus M4A88T-I Deluxe and it appears to be sans IO shield. If anyone has one laying around they would be willing to part with for cheap please let me know.

Thank you, I already looked into that, $12.95 and then another $9.00 via FedEX... seems a bit excessive for the overall cost. I was hoping to find someone with a dead board and a better deal than that.

wow that's expensive from asus, I bought an open box asrock mobo that didn't have the io shield. Asrock only charged I think $5 shipping and $8 for shield if I remember right.

you had to go and get the deluxe version didn't you?
Ebay seems to have hte non deluxe for $10 shipped vs $20 for deluxe... good luck... the local microcenter just had several boards w/o io shields... just once, i'd like to see them sell just hte io shields...

Sometimes I love microcenter, sometimes they scare me. (I go to the one in Houston, TX when I go)

It would be the -I part as opposed to the deluxe part that's getting me, the "built in" wifi makes it use two holes where there would normally be three more audio jacks.

Going to be getting rid of or re-purposing a mATX board (XFX MI-A78S-8209) I have been using and wanted to keep the CPU (Phenom II x4 910) so the ASUS ITX board seemed the best option for it.

Plans for the M4A88T-I involve 8GB RAM, a SSD, & cramming it into a SilverStone RVZ01B (Yeah I know, a lot of people think it's ugly) and then pairing it with an EVGA 750 TI and having that be the final resting place for my 910 CPU.

Haven't decided on exactly what to do for cooling yet, won't know until I actually get the case. Overall it should end up being a semi decent HTPC/Gaming capable setup that isn't too terribly difficult to move around from room to room/house to house.

Thanks for the comment and trying to help out everyone. Going to keep hoping for someone here till about Monday before I deal with either ASUS or eBay.
