So I have a 7850 as my primary video card, and a 7750 as a secondary card running my 2nd monitor. I play my Twitch streams on the 7750/2nd monitor. I noticed in Hardware Monitor that while I am running video on the 7750, its the temperatures on the 7850 that are actually rising. (the 7750 temps remain stable) Why is this? I was under the impression that since the video is being displayed on the monitor which is connected to the 7750, that this should be the video card which is doing the work (ie. the temps on the 7750 should go up, not the other way around)

Since the 7850 has so little airflow since the 7750 is under it, while the 7750 has plenty since it has nothing obstructing its way

Actually I was just reading that the primary card is tasked by AMD Catalyst software with processing all games and video. So it looks the even though the 2nd monitor is connected the 7750, the OS has the 7850 process everything, and then just feeds it to the 7750 for distribution to the 2nd monitor. That's a bummer :(

You are being hindered by physics.

The bottom card's heat is moving upward towards top cards, adding to it's own heat through convection. It's the reason I bought a Raven Case when both my cards are turned 90 degrees so they both output heat upwards.

I would say that is the issue, however the temps on the 7750 are not going up at all when watching video streams on the monitor connected to the 7750.

Try CrossFIre. The point of that is to balance load the video cards. You get better GPU processing during gaming. To CrossFire you need the adapter to connect both cards.
