Hi, this is my first build ever. I am an 8th grader, currently I am working on my 8th grade Mentorship project. The purpose of the mentorship project is to give students the opportunity and responsibility for extending their learning experience beyond school, into the community in which they live. With the help of teachers and the parent community students select their own area of interest and mentors. I have chosen my project to revolve around “How to build a Gaming PC”. My dad is the owner of Mountain Mods. Mountain Mods is sponsoring the build. This computer will also be auctioned off on eBay and the money that is made will be donated to my school. Thanks for watching.

This is all I have done so far. as you can see this case will be water cooled so pc will run cooler under high stress.

In 8th grade (if I remember this right) I had a 1.1GHz Celeron, 512MB ram, and a Geforce 2MX.

Wish I had this in 8th grade!

Ask your dad if he would like to sponsor my midlife crysis build. I'll need a custom extended ascension by Wednesday.

Lol @ you youngins.

In 8th grade, I only had either a 386sx 25Mhz or 386DX 40Mhz with probably 4MB or RAM and a 120MB hdd. Video card would have been a Trident 1Mb

This was while I was still in the learning stages of computer hardware. I got a Geforce 4mx 4000 (PCI to!) for my birthday and played Doom 3 on it!

8th grade for me had a store bought vaio with a 2.6 ghz P4 and a Nvidia MX440 64mb with 1 gig of ram that was 2003. Good luck with the build!

The computer is finished. Now all I have to do is install windows and the proper drivers for the graphics,
Cpu, and Motherboard.

Now I have two weeks to work on a presentation for my school project.
Thank you for following, and subbing. This is my very first build and post on this forum and I already fell very welcome here. Thank you!

I also thank Mountainmods for sponsoring the build!

in 8th grade my dad graduated from a color computer to a 8086 with a monochrome monitor.
he used it for a bulletin board.

Nice looking rig there - well done.

I have to laugh - when I was in 8th grade, we had no computer at all, and I was learning how to use them in school, on a Radio Shack TRS-80, with a mind-numbing 48K of RAM. School was too cheap to buy the floppy drive upgrade, so we had to load programs via cassette tape. Yes, cassette tape. How far we've come . . .

That is an awesome and clean looking rig you have going there.

Although, the crescent wrench sitting in the pic makes me wonder. (just kidding)

Excellent choice in motherboard, too bad its a Newegg exclusive, still awesome buy.

nice work hope the presentation goes well.

check out Prezi or some other presentation software. PPT is great for what it is, but I think something like Prezi would serve this build better!
