What Apple And Tesla's Meeting Actually Means, Probably

The quote of the day definitely has to be this:

Fan-kids of two of the most rabid and dedicated types, Apple and Tesla, must have experienced some swimsuit-area tingling Sunday, when SFGate revealed that the two were in talks last year. Of course, this caused many to speculate on Apple buying Tesla and the release of the mythical iCar, but I don't think that's what's going on here.

Eh it would not surprise me of Elon wouldn't sell off the company for the right price and focus more on Space-X. The guy is the type who needs to keep just thinking stuff up, probably wants to get rid of an old idea so he has time for a new one.

The meeting would have been more fun (for observers) if Jobs and Musk had met instead.

No way Tesla would dilute the brand and kill the stock which is on an upward trajectory. The only thing that might come out of this is iOS integration. Tesla isn't going to sell out to Apple, the dashboard won't be iPad or even iOS and they won't touch Apple Maps since it's tarnished and broken.

siri, is pretty good while driving, except when it uses google maps.

If anything happens I'm selling everything I own to get a Model S before Apple pollutes the gene pool and ruins it.

Don't worry, If Apple ruins the Model S, Samsung will bring out something better :)
and then Apple will sue them....

Yeah,

I'm a bit of a fan of the Model S, and I was excited that they were planning on working android app compatibility.

I had a pre-launch reservation for one, but I was forced to cancel it due to my divorce. I was hoping to own one of my own some day.

I would HATE to see Apples influence in there instead.... :(

Just what we need is another electric car, with a $40, K battery when it has to be replaced, that may Burst into Flames and Melt Down along the road some where!

This sounds like the "Green" version of FORD's "Found on Road Dead", and "Fix or Repair Daily".

To each their own.

For my purposes I'd take Tesla Model S over any car out there, conventional, hybrid or electric...

Also keep in mind, an electric car has WAY fewer moving parts than a conventional car, and as such should be WAY more reliable...
