This guy says Google Glass gives him persistent headaches. Everyone panic?

Chris Barrett, who was first to take Google Glass into a casino and also said he was first to film an arrest with Glass, finds he gets too many headaches. He's also lost his enthusiasm for the gadget.

Not really surprising. It's not natural to have to focus your eye like that.

THIS JUST IN! Staring at a display all day will give you a headache!

Really, what kind of idiot doesn't acknowledge that this might be an issue to be expected.

I get headaches from google glass and I don't even own a pair. Just reading about the users is enough :)

Hmm, as someone who wears prescription glasses I would expect this to happen, I get headaches off using my regular ones for a prolonged period of time, so I would assume anything else that makes u concentrate or squint at details would have a similar effect.

You may have a prescription issue. I've been wearing prescription glasses every waking moment for 25 years and I don't get persistent headaches.

Its an issue because Google expects people to wear these for many hours at a time, not just as something you use for 45 mins and take a break.

That is what it sounds like to me also. If you need glasses and don't wear them you will get headaches, same would happen if you prescription is too far off.

I also have had glasses for about 25 years. I have to wear my glasses every waking moment also. which every waking moment happens to be about 18 hours every day. At least I have to wear them if I want to see more than about 1 foot away, which normally I do.

I also don't get prescription headaches and never have during that time that I have wore glasses.

How's it even possible to focus on something so close to your eyes? I get focus 3-4" from my eye, is google glass out of focus? How does it work?

They most likely use a lens to push the point of focus further away from you. Occulus rift does the same thing.

The headaches are just the government mind control signals, just wear the tin foil hat accessory that comes with the package. ;)

I think you know what I mean.

Oh, you must have misspelled pear.

Also, that's cool! I've never met anyone who actually admits to owning Google Glass. You're a very progressive, hip, brave person. *high fives*

This reminds me of one of my favorite all time movies. "The Jerk". Lawsuit waiting to happen.
