My friend is stuck. A new 4770k pc with a K600 quadro card. But there is no dvi cable available. HDMI only. The motherboard has an HDMI output but when you connect it there is no signal. Does this need to be enable in the bios? The system was setup elsewhere with a dvi connected to quadro, but no dvi will be available for a day.

So I know the system works via the quadro. I know the monitor works, HDMI to laptop test proves that. But HDMI to haswell = No Signal. Never had a haswell before and strangely can't find a lot of documentation on the video out.

You need Lucid Virtu installed to use the Intel GPU or output with a PCI-e GPU attached.

You do know they make Cheap HDMI to DVI adapters right? I can't believe how complicated you are trying to make this :D

If the quadro works then use it.

You can't use a discreet GPU AND output video with the Intel iGPU. It's one or the other (AFAIK unless you have a special mobo that I'm not aware of... besides the lucid). So if you pull out the Quadro, you should then be able to use the iGPU. When it's installed, then it'll force video through the Quadro.

Seriously. Just get a DVI to HDMI adapter and call it a day. I'm surprised his video card didn't come with one, honestly.

I have a Haswell 4770k. When I reset the BIOS with the clear CMOS switch it reverts back to the iGPU even with the graphics card in. Just do that and it SHOULD work.
But for long term, just get the adapter.
