I'm looking to build a new PC in the next week or so and would like to upgrade my 20" screen to a 27" screen but I only have about $300 budgeted. I'll mainly use this for gaming and occasional video editing. I'm deciding between two and I'd appreciate any input:

$189.99 after MIR, ASUS VE278H: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236295
$349.99, Refurbished HP ZR2740w: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824276053

I know the HP is nearly twice the price and a little over my budget, but:
a) I'm concerned about the ASUS being so cheap.
b) I'm not sure how good ASUS's monitor quality is compared to HP, which I know is good.
c) the HP has a higher resolution

If the ASUS is a good / decent monitor, though, then I'm picking it up.

Thanks!

IPS>TN, but with the HP being 12ms, might look into getting a Korean. You can get Korean monitors under $300 shipped with 2560x1440 IPS, with better response times than the HP.

Hmm, interesting, I'll have to take a look at that. Where does one buy a Korean model? Any in particular that are recommended?
