I've been toying with going SLI GTX 760 for a while but ultimately decided why not just jump up to GTX 770. I have always been a EVGA fan but I'm opening up to the idea of either MSI GTX 770 2 gig or I just saw the PNY 4 gig for 410.00 would love to hear about experiences both good & bad of either of them.

Why did you start a new thread?

Anyway, go with the 2 gb unless you are playing surround/1200p+, then go with the 4GB.

Sorry about starting a new thread wasn't thinking earlier when I saw the price for the PNY card I thought it was pretty decent figured the 770 would be better served with 4 gig frame buffer opposed to the 760. I really want the 780 but it's just a bit more money than what I want to part with.

As others have stated, two things to consider. If you're at 1080p you don't need more than 2GB. Trust me, I gamed with 680 SLI for a very long period of time at 1600p and you won't have issues unless you add 20 gabillion mods to Skyrim. Or if you add SGSSAA/downsampling to absurd levels in every game. Then again, if you mod skyrim or go overboard with SSAA in any game you can even saturate 3 or 4 GB of VRAM. So that is a moot point.

2GB is fine for 1080p. Also, 410$ for a 770 is too much - once you're in that pricing area, it really is better to find a used 780 for around that price or just getting a new one. So essentially I agree with all of the above posters who said the same. ;)

Just curious I am slowly going to start building a new PC and I'm curious would 4GB's of ram be any benefit for programs like 3dmax or Maya? They have a 4gb model of a gtx 760 I was thinking about getting, they also have a GTX 770 (2gb model) for $70 more but I don't know if my Corsair VX550W could handle it.

I went SLI and I couldn't be happier so far. Thanks for all the feedback guys I'm a happy dude it went off without a hitch no problems at all. Very happy with my decision.
